Well, that is good advice if all you are doing is mongering. Especially if you are on the budget plan and only want to get down with pros. Speaking the language will get you so much further and most likely a much better session with a girl because you aren't taping your four $20 bills to your head and pointing at her. lol......

It will always benefit you to at least be able to make a little small talk with the girls also because you can dig a little to see if she has the right attitude. Again, that is if you are tryin for more than the typical in and out. Just don't be blinded by the BS and take everyone's opinion and then form your own. Again, this is just my humble opinion........

Lots of good advise here. I think knowing French is a great plus. You should be able to pick up Spanish, Italian or Portugese.
The most important think to do is make sure you do your negotiations in Dollars or Colonies and she knows which CURRENCY you are negotiating in.

As a Canadian, I was offended repeatedly in CR as being branded as an American or gringo!

I learned that to a tico or tica, I was not a gringo, only Americans are. That gave me a laff.

I am pro american dont get me wrong, but you Americans certainly got CR all locked up pretty much.

I had a greeeeeaaaaaaat time nonetheless.
