About the only way you could pull that off was to have some sort of Internet business that you could manage from anyplace with a puter and broadband capabilities.
Persons holding tourist visas or pensionado residency can not legally work. Many gringos have been working illegally in sports books, call centers, etc. however the new immigration bill provides very stiff penalties for employers who are found employing illegal workers.
A former neighbor of mine, who had worked for the sports books for 5 years, was told they had to let all the gringo workers without legal work status go because of the possible penalty's if caught. He had to marry a Tica to get residency and be able to work.
