IMHO,
everyone is guilty of posting things of little or no importance, myself definitely included. Whether someone posts a simple icon (

), or a comment that is 10 paragraphs long, there will always be some people that may consider either one of these un-important or useless. Everyone perceives things on a different level.
As far as the number of posts someone has ??? Who gives a sh*t . Why do we even have to have a "post counter". It means nothing. As far as I'm concerned, keeping a running tally of posts is about as useful as the "I agree with Bill" post.
Personally, I like to keep things simple. Such as.................
If you don't like the dress code at the Prez, don't stay there.
If you don't like the single/double thing at Kamur, don't go there.
If you don't like chica's asking cien, don't pay it.
If you don't want to get mugged at night, don't walk thru the park.
If you don't like the prices at a certain restaurant, don't eat there.
If you don't like the chica's at a certain MP, don't session there.
If you don't like short, useless posts, don't read them.
No rocket science here......
By the way,
I just saved a boat-load of money on my insurance by switching to GIECO.
Respectfully,
