Well, the Copa Mundo begins next Thursday, June 12. Costa Rica probably won't win a single game, being in Group D, which appears to be the strongest group. The other teams in that group are Italy, England and Uruguay. I imagine the entire country will 'shut down' when their matches are on. And if they do win a match...fiesta! Maybe the Ticas at the DR, SL, et al will be giving away free sessions

Well, I doubt that.
I don't expect the US to go very far either, being in Group G with Germany, Ghana and Portugal. Some people were upset that Landon Donovan was left off the squad. I'm not that upset that Klinsmann left him off.
Thank God they won't have the same annoying noisemakers (vuvuzelas) at this World Cup! Those phuckin things made watching the games almost unbearable...sounded somewhat like a hugh swarm of bees. This
World Cup will have a new official noisemaker, the caxirola, said to be less loud and not as annoying as the vuvuzelas. But, apparently FIFA has banned the use of them in the stadiums.
