Ok. I'm going to try this again so all of the CRT members can REALLY recognize the true bargain here and maybe we can get you a little more business:
$250 + 125 expenses = $375 per angler, per day.... correct ???
$375 per angler X 4 anglers = $1500...... correct ??
Then you say
"or you could charter a boat for $1500/day - you pick"
Isn't that the same thing??
(except for the fact that I can charter TWO boats for that price)!
Look Bstrong -
Nobody cares how much your dock fees are,
or how much you pay for insurance every year,
or how much your monthly nut is for your crew salaries and social security and health insurance.
Nobody cares how much fuel costs are at the marina,
or how much you spent to secure the permits for setting up your business,
and noone cares how much your miscellaneous annual expenses are,
nor do they care about your maintenance fees or cost of tackle, oil changes, shipping expenses, duty fees or any other variable costs.
Simply put, guys just want to jump on a boat for a few hours, turn the handle a few times, have a few beers, then return to chasing tail that night.
Basically - You've got a 10' wide center console boat with outboard motors that's moored at Los Sueños, floating amongst all the multi-million dollar yachts and sportfishers. Yee-Haw! If you have elected to run your boat out of Los Sueños, that's great. And everyone's in business to make a buck, no doubt. But don't pretend like you're doing the guy a favor by "
letting him fish with you for $375 per day". Or that you offer the "
best fishing experience in the world". How could you possibly make that statement? Have you fished with every other captain and crew in the world ?!?!?!? Frankly, that's an insult. And 4,200 fish over the past 6 years? That's only about an average of about 13 or 14 fish per week. Don't worry about that. It will eventually get better.

if you dont want to throw in $375 for the best fishing experience in the world...then don't.
Good advice!
I've met many, many CRT members, and the vast majority of members are pretty sharp. So at this point, I guess we'll just let them decide for themselves who they want to fish with, and where they want to fish. I'm just happy that there are a couple other captains and crews in Costa Rica who offer fishing trips!
NEXT!
