This conversation is a little scary to me since I just bought my condo. I guess I could take solice by thinking about how many millions of dollars big John and company at the DR would lose if the P4P dried up.

Absolutly. But I would definatly need some toys. 1 a dualsport motorcycle outside of San Jose is dirt road heaven. 2 fishing gear and boat of some kind and I would be set. Definatly staying out on the coasts 8)

i've been there a 100 times, love it, love the beach, but now the chica drive in me is waning as is my travel patience. just curious how many bros would still go to cr if let's say the chica thing became difficult like pr, unavailable, or non-existent.

For me, I would still go to CR with or without p4p. I have tico relatives, love to fish and explore the country. At this point in my life, and soon to be living in Colombia, gringo gulch is a one-night stand when it comes to the "Costa Rica experience."

If P4P died in CR I would simply make more trips to MDE and the European FKKs! CR is great and all, but after so many zip lines and volcanoes it would be time to move on.

I surely would never return if not for the chica situation. Better beaches with less problems are available much closer to home for the majority of us. Same with the mountains. Just too expensive and too far to travel without p4p.

Well, mostly NO but for the terrif much-less-expensive dental work and possibly the medical.

Isn't Colombia cheaper and better? I wonder what my buddy Openup would say about that.

I've traveled around CR quite a bit and its great. Having already seen much of CR would I come back if there were no chicas? Probably not but only because I've already seen CR.
