[quote="KenLee"I'll be looking for the kind of experience Monger speaks of and I'll do it by treating the girls I meet with kindness and respect. That's just how I roll. .[/quote]
KL,
This is the strategy that I employ also and it has served me well !
Never underestimate how far just a little bit of kindness and respect can go.
I remember a couple of years ago in SJ when I picked up Paola, a pretty Colombiana in the DR one afternoon. We chatted for a while never discussing money or services. We ended up walking over to Tin Jo for lunch and more pleasent conversation. Still no talk of money or services to be rendered.
After we finished we decided to walk to the SL (where I was staying) and I was treated to one of my top 3 alltime GFE's by a Colombiana anywhere! We spent a total of about 4 - 5 hours together and when we finished she looked at me and in her somewhat broken Ingles she said "you, today I treat like boyfriend !" I will never ever forget it. I ended up paying cien and I asked her if this was enough as I handed it to her and she said that it was sufficient.
Random acts of kindness can payoff big sometimes. Yes sometimes you can meet more jaded girls who will not appreciate gebtlemanly behavior but for every one of these more "hardened" chicas I promise you that there are another 2-3 that will respond well and appreciate your kindness.
The trick is just sorting them out !
It really upsets me when I see one of my countrymen treating the locals poorly. I have trouble keeping my mouth shut and many times I do not.
I was born and raised in the deep south where we are taught manners from an early age. It is too bad that you can find way too many "ugly Americanos" in CR these days!
