Thanks to Arnold "The Taxinator" Schwarzenegger.....
California just passed the highest tax increase in U.S. history, approximately $70,000,000,000 over five years,
in additional taxes. The tax relief package from our new President will not make up for the increased California taxes from these new taxes. It is estimated that it will cost the average family in California $ 1,400.00 per year in added "revenue increases".
We are already #1 in states sales taxes, state income tax (which the highest rate kicks in at $45,000; one of the lowest amounts), vehicle registration tax, and sixth in business tax. That is prior to the newest ""revenue increases", as the politicians like to call them. H*ll they won't even use the word tax.
How is this benefiting me? Our roads are still crap, we have hospitals closing, businesses are moving out of state. Our schools score 49th in the U.S., but yet we spend some of the highest rates per pupil.
For the first time in California history last year more American citizens moved out of California, than moved in, yet we still had a population increase. I wonder where they came from?

The size of California's budget has increased by over 100% in the last ten years.
No taxes do not necessarily equate to more and better services, or infrastructure. In California the taxes are going up, and the infrastructure is crumbling due to the amount of money spent on social services.
Off of my p*ssed off soap box now....
Health & happiness to all....
