On another thread, Dapanz1 related a story about an incident at the HDR where “some coked out gringo took a Colombiana up to the room and sliced her up pretty good.â€

Those are exactly the kinds of overt acts which bring urgency to politicians who want to right wrongs and change laws which otherwise authorize practices to which the politicians are strongly opposed.
The political pressure to rewrite the VAWA (violence against women act) which was found unconstitutional by Sala IV, is very strong. My guess is that if the legislature does not try to stop the practice of P4P, they will certainly make it clear that violence against a lady of leisure is going to be severely punished.
To illustrate the degree of power behind the movement, those of us who have ICE cell phones got at least two messages last week from the national women’s advocacy institute (INAMU) announcing rallies to oppose violence against women.
The importance of that, as it applies to this theory, is that a significant part of the national communications system was authorized at the highest level of government, presumably the president, to be used to transmit the messages. Remember, ICE is semi-autonomous and therefore it would take presidential influence to authorize a message to be sent out.
Presidential support will be critical and important to making changes.
The three concepts which will bring law enforcement attention to our hobby are the “Three C’s of Viceâ€:
1. It is Conspicuous
2. Is it Commercialized
3. It is Complained of
If we flaunt in public our relationships with our special friends, that are conspicuous; if some dim-wit criminal slices up a woman -- regardless of her profession, that is conspicuous; if it takes place in a specific area, it may not technically be commercialized but it gives the appearance of commercialization; and certainly, all of those issues culminate in complaints.
