Huge thanks to Phoenix for posting this valuable information!! I called AAdvantage today and spoke to one of the reps, he advised me that since I already have a round trip flight of more than 750 miles booked (CR in October) that when those miles post to my account, I need to contact customer service again and they will re-engage my lost miles, all 36K!!

PR, I owe you a few beers if you're in town late October.

SK

PS...Junky, when you get into that phone menu just say customer service and you'll get transferred. :D

Or 50K, since that's the most they'll re-engage.

I received this same email, clearly stating they'll renew up to 50K miles. How does following the rules correctly make it different?

After completing my most recent round trip flight to SJO on AA and contacting customer service, AA has reactivated my expired 36,294 miles!!! I can't thank Phoenix Rising enough for posting the original thread explaining the process of reactivating ones expired AA miles.

Muchas gracias Amigo! :D
