This is why I HATE prebooking reservations with a CC. i like to pay in cash and I always do. I go to Thailand every year and they take a reservation online and no CC is needed.

Should I just dispute the charges with my CC company? I have the copy of the receipt of the one night's stay and it says it was paid in cash. I have emails that were sent stated the cancellations.
Very unprofessional.

IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE BY ONE OF MY EMPLOYEES REINPUTTING YOU IN THE SYSTEM. ONCE A BATCH IS CLOSED IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REFUND CHARGES WITHOUT TAKING WEEKS THROUGH THE SYSTEM HERE. IN NO WAY WERE WE TRING TO RIP YOU OFF AND APOLIGIZE THAT YOU FEEL THAT WAY. IF YOU EMAIL ME AT MKINKELAAR@MSN.COM YOUR FULL NAME AND ADDRESS IN THE STATES MY ASSISTANT IN THE STATES WILL SEND YOU A CHECK. IT IS THE FASTEST WAY TO REFUND YOU THE MONEY. IN THE FUTURE ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS CONTACT ME AND I WILL STRAIGHTEN IT OUT. NO ONE IS PERFECT AND MISTAKES ARE MADE. WE ALWAYS TRY TO BE FAIR AND ON TOP OF THINGS BUT IT HAPPENS.

Matt, as you can see, The "rip off" is followed by question marks.

Matt, I met you. You asked my how the traffic coming in was. The reason I question if it were a rip off, is just I have never seen a ZON machine that could not reverse charges. And the run around that I experienced with Carlos and Marlene. Maybe they just told me what they thought would be right, but it should never have been charged in the first place. The cancellation on the phone was made on Sept 1. The emails stating cancellations were made ten minutes after the phone call. Granted I understand Carlos saying the system was down and they received no emails. But Marlene should have put the cancellations in. The reservation was for Sept 4. The cancellation was made well before the 24 hour limited time. Why would the charges be put through at all?

No one is calling you a thief, especially for under 200 bucks. And as you can read in my previous post. I was just going to call this a wash. For all the calls I have made through my cell phone, and what Paypal expects me to do to file a claim. It is not worth the little bit of money. Now Paypal sends me an email that says they received my dispute. I do not know if they are awaiting the mailed documents or they are satisfied with the description I made. I frankly have no clue if they are going to do anything. I know if I used a regular CC, one call and it would have been done. Unfortunately, I did not.

You offering to send me a check is going above and beyond. I appreciate that. Just you replying shows me you are a stand up guy. let em see if Paypal send any more emails. I would hate to ask you for a check and then have Paypal credit my account. Then I would owe you money.


In the meantime, i will resend the last email I sent you

I would much rather send you the check and know that you are happy. In the event i get charged back i will hope when you are back in San Jose you cover it.
