I flew in a day earlier then my buddy. I stayed at the Amistad for one night. I paid for it in cash. My buddy came in the next day and we went to Jaco. We were planning on coming back to Amistad for a few days. But we changed plans and I called Marlene well before 24 hours to cancel the rest of my reservations. She claimed it was all done, but just to send an email just in case. For some reason my CC was charged for 2 nights??? I called Carlos and he told me the system was down and to re-email and the charges would come off. Well, I am back in the states now and what was only pending charges are now complete charges. I just called and was told by some guy that he could not help me. He only works nights and has no control over it.
It seems no one can help me on this. I spoke to Marlene and she said it was taken care of. Then I spoke to Carlos and was assured it was taken care of and the charges are still there??
This is why I HATE prebooking reservations with a CC. i like to pay in cash and I always do. I go to Thailand every year and they take a reservation online and no CC is needed.
Should I just dispute the charges with my CC company? I have the copy of the receipt of the one night's stay and it says it was paid in cash. I have emails that were sent stated the cancellations.
Very unprofessional.
