Guys, this is the kind of commentary comparing the two venues I was looking for (except for the urinating thing...no golden showers for me) Some good insights both ways.

Sound like some vote for the quantity DR offers, and some vote for the more intimate atmosphere of the SL...I plan on full evaluations of both.

Lee, I echo your remarks. I was at the SL last month and during the day, there were one to four girls.

I can't remember her name, but there was a brown skin chica that I picked several trips ago and she was there every time I stopped in for a drink. She would not leave me alone and the place was empty so she was probably just bored. At least at the DR there are always tons of gringos, so the girls you don't want have more options and won't focus solely on you.

I do think the SL girls "play the game" more to our liking. A much higher percentage are willing to spend time with you go out to dinner things like that. You can find these girls in the HDR as well. You will just run into a lot more " Hola 1 hour cien please" Mercenaries there.

I have a theory about that:

given that all these girls are actresses in a play would it not be taking direction from the director that sets the mood of the scene. Ok what the hell am I talking about. She's an actress your the director she just wants to give you what you're willing to pay for. If you walk in the door and approached her like a guy who wants to get laid and get laid right now you're going to get the one hour $100 performance. If your approach her or she you in a more relaxed less rushed manner chances are the scenes will run much different.

Hence why there is such a perceived difference in an encounter at SL as compared to DR. They're the same thing just handled in a different way. DR tends to be a hurry up and get it done spur of the moment thing. Not that it has to be that way it's just that most of us are picked up by the incoming tide and washed up on whatever shore we happened to hit. SL is much smaller much less epic much more slow-paced.

A guy that walks in the door of the DR with little experience under his belt and fed a steady stream of dues and don'ts from that online distributor of such facts known as CRT is much more likely to give this little darling the perceived direction that he's looking to get laid and get laid right now. She will provide the performance she thinks he's looking for trying to make her director happy. Whereas the same guy can walk in to SL sourcing the same stream of information from CRT and give the girl there completely different subconscious directions that she being the good actress that she is will immediately pick up on and respond to.

In short boys it's all in your head.

I think there is truth in your theory but I think the DelRey is MUCH more an atmosphere of 1 hour hurry please. I do not think it is 100% though. I agree if you look and find the right girls with you having the right attitude/game the same results do occur. But there are a number of very beautiful girls at the Del Rey that are all about volume. Now at 1 am with "2 under their belt" sometimes the attitudes lighten up some. I think the setting at SL vs Del Rey has a lot to do with it.

Check out the del rey between 10 am and 2pm. Many attractive girls in the $60-$70 range. This being said it's easy to get caught up in a moment and pay more your first time. As you get more comfortable to the surroundings you will find good looking girls that will accept your price.(most of the time)

Both the DR and the SL can offer you some tasty treats. A lot depends on the day of the week and also the time of the day. It is always changing dynamically.

With that said, you can do very well at both venues. Early in day the SL can be very, very good for talent. Not always the case at the DR, although there are days when it can have a few of the upper tier hotties lurking around in the late afternoon.

Lunch and Happy Hour at the SL can yield great results. Cruise over to the DR later in the evening and you are almost guaranteed there will be tons of hot stuff, especially after 10pm. Around 10:30 - 11pm the 10's will start rolling in (or re-rolling in). Of course, YMMV.

If all else fails, then you can hope that Shawn4DelRey is in town. Then you can prqactically guarantee that he will take you to places that have more friendly girls than you imagine. Plus, they all know him so very well!!!

As the originator of this post, I too thank all those providing input. Now that I've had the chance to check this out first hand, I have my own perspective:

There really is no comparing DL and SL overall - two very different venues with completely different vibes.

SL has a small bar and a very "clubby" environment. I probably didn't see SL at nearly it's best...the evening I hung out there for a bit there were about 6 chicas (all but one average at best) and about the same number of guys. Enjoyed a nice dinner and a few beers - but overall the scene was very mellow.

DR on the other hand, offers quite a different atmosphere. Lot of girls, multiple venues within the hotel - BM, lobby bar, cafe bar, KL, each with their own mini-vibe...the scene changes all the time - just hang out for a while and the talent level evolves constantly...and varies quite a bit from day to day and time of day, but there is pretty much always something tasty available with the exception of possibly early morning.

Of course, its also good to spread your wings and hit some MP's, and a strip club or two just for a little variety...but I had some great pulls from HDR...perhaps if I'd actually stayed at SL, I'd have a much different perspective...maybe next time.

I have only been to SJ once and stayed at the SL. From my short time in CR, I do think that "mercenaries" operate at both venues. I'd got a mercenary at the SL and I believe two of her friends who frequent SL are also the same except they play the game less aggressively. But the three ticas I'd selected at DR on three different nights all gave me a fabulous time.

I think it also depends on your luck on the day/night.
