I have a question about carry on luggage. I have always flown Delta exclusively for all my travel needs. I always pack light and usually carry a small Eddie Bower duffel bag for my clothes and toiletries. I also carry a backpack for more important items, such as passport, cash, travel itinerary etc. I make it a habit to carry on both my travel items because I loath waiting for my luggage. With delta I have never had to check either of these items.
On Sprit's website it says, "Each ticketed passenger is allowed to carry-on one bag. In addition to one carry-on bag, customers may bring one personal item, which includes a purse, briefcase, laptop or diaper bag, without charge." Will my backpack qualify as a "personal item"? I would hate to have to check my duffel bag and carry-on my backpack.
I know Sprit is a cheap airline and am sure would prefer to make any extra money possible. Any first hand experience with this would be appreciated.
