I have not seen anything written about the Presidente's dress policy in six months. Since I will be staying there for a long time, what should I expect?

Also, what if I bring back a club girl from Vertigo or a college student from San Pedro who are dressed in sexy club attire but not P4P girls?

What has been the de facto policy over the past few months now that it has been around a year since the initial outcry?

Thanks....

Harv,
There's pretty much nothing de facto about it, it's outlined in writing. Obviously, there is some discretion given to security, so they decide whether the attire is acceptable or not. I would think that it applies to all Ticas, pro or non. However, gringas can have their fat asses and bellies exposed and management doesn't seem to mind.

There has not been much comment posted on the dress code lately so perhaps they have gotten enough experience with it to enforce it evenly.

Yes it is a written policy however in the early days enforcement was whatever the security guard felt was appropriate dress not necessarily what was written.

The policy applies to all guests of hotel guests. There was an article in AM Costa Rica sometime ago describing how two Ticas were denied admittance to the News Cafe at lunchtime. One of the women was the newspapers attorney. (Hold the jokes about attorneys being whores  )

On my trip in March I only had one problem. They asked a chica that was with me to cover her tata's up a little further that what they were covered. Luckly she had on a jacket and was able to button it up all the way.
