Top hotels usually respond to availability inquiries the same day. It seems that Hotel M doesn't check e-mails, or maybe their site doesn't work properly. I have sent 2 mails. No answer.

Ya gotta have some patience. Internet in CR is usually much slower than in the states, and it FREQUENTLY goes down for periods of time. If you want to talk to someone personally, call Hotel M's toll free number at (800) 304-1625 or you can go to their website for more info ( www.hotelmcostarica.com ).

You're probably right, although it seems that hotels in Jaco are faster to respond. I guess that I'm used to fast answers and I do not like to wait.

No worries. I'm sure they'll get back to you soon. Keep in mind, that this is a NEW hotel, and I'm sure they've got some 'bugs' to work out. Since they are one of our CRT Sponsors, I'm sure they'll appreciate your patience and your patronage.

Wow. Well, at this point, you might want to call them. If you can't get hold of them, it may be time to re-think your lodging accomodations. At least you tried. But, at the very least, if you get lodging somewhere else, I'd still let someone at Hotel M know about your efforts. This might encourage them to address the problem for future (potential) guests.

Do you know any similar type of lodging in SJ? I like luxury when on vacation, I don't care too much about price.

You might want to try Casa Vino. I (personally) have not stayed there, but several members have, and it's gotten very good reviews. The owner (Tony)
is a member of CRT, and his handle is CasaV. Use the "SEARCH" function to look at some of the reviews of this place, plus you can send a PM to CasaV for more info. Good luck.

I do not get involved in sponsor disputes or complaints, but the mgt at Hotel M wanted me to respond here for them.

As you can see the Mgt is very much trying to resolve this persons reservation confusion, and complaint. I received a copy of the generics of the reservation showing the email address etc and the contact info provided is different then the emails provided here. I also attempted using the contact information provided to HOTEL M to contact this person and I to had my emails returned.


All I can say is if your going to make a complaint regarding a sponsor in this or any forum please have your facts in order as making false allegations hurts reputations, which is not appreciated here.

As far as I am concerned there are no complaints, I just wanted to get in touch with Hotel M. A few things I want to add:

- There is indeed a problem with the e-mail address I mentioned on my request. My apologies for this, I cancelled that account yesterday.
- Hotel M did find out about my request rather late, there might be a problem with their site.
- I confirm that the Hotel M guys tried really hard to get in touch with me the soon they found out I was trying to contact them (I confirm they tried to call me).

I will get in touch with them to solve this.

Once you get everything taken care of, you might want to consider getting a CRT Membership. As you've already seen, it's worth it. You'll get discounts at numerous places in and around SJO, but your membership also helps to support the board, which (so far) has already worked with you, with your best interest at mind. Something to consider.......
