Twarag,
All these little points add to the real warmth that radiates from the life there. Amazing how people came with nothing & pulled together to form a great country out of literally nothing (USA) & in 200 years what happened that we don't work with each other any more but against everyone it seems. We use to trust & help each other & now we are afraid to stop & help others in an accident! We bitch about way too much & have forgotten how to be appreciative

Sorry but that aint much of a life really! We all die & the dirt is thrown on top. Money or power is not going to change us into truly content creatures. How we feel about family & friends and them about us seems so important too me.. I love the old people & their stories!
Quote:
The last family reunion before my Grandmother died she said to me "my family have become strangers". I understood a bit about how she felt but meeting Tico families brought tears to my eyes because I understood exactly how she felt. In 2 generation everything was about power even amongst the family.
I hear her! All too common to see good men talk about the ex wife with such distrust & hate. Then they talk about their kidds saying after all they did for them GEE DAD YOU ARE PHUCKED!!

Well maybe dad isn't perfect but this is just plain sad.
The story of the USA reminds me of how many business partners workout. When they are building the business & times are tough they seem to suck it up pull together & get along but after they have made it & have it going their way (spoiled) they start getting petty about shit & it falls apart.
