I wanted to bring up a place that I found, while in San Jose. I know it has been on here in the past. It was one of the best places I have ever ate a hamburger at. For those of you who have Whataburger's around. It made Whataburger look like a McDonalds. It was "ok" in CR prices. I remember getting a double meat, cheese, ham (Hey it's called a Hamburger), bacon, and all the fixin's... fries and drink for around 4 - 5 US dollars.

It's about a block away from the presidente. Just head over to the street that takes you to HDR off of Central Avenue and you will see it there on the right. THey have a drink and the buger for around $2.

I couldn't agree more squirell, I just recently commented on it in a recent post on the NY bar.

For 995 colones you can get 1/4 lb. burger loaded with fixins and a coke , for thoses big boys (like myself) you can get a triple, fries and coke for about 2700 colones , I couldn't eat it all ( and thats saying something)

It is definately a great place to fill the tank for a resonable price, I will frequent it on all my future trips. I may not have my masters in mongering yet but I obtained my PHD in burgers many years ago

I highly recommend this place. Kamala knows food

Sounds like a great place to try. Just a half block from mariscar chicken place for when you need a change

I think they have about eight locations in San Jose metro (Mall San Pedro, MultiPlaza Este, Real Cariari, Uruca, Barrio Amon, two downtown, one in Heredia?). Pretty good value. The burger's can sometines be a bit greasy because the grilling method, but they're usually pretty good.

They have good ribs and barbeque chicken also.

They deliver too. The BBQ is a nice choice if it is late and lazy out.

Delivery? To the front desk at the hotel or to your room? Maybe this is a way to sneak a chica into the building. Just dress her up in a delivery uniform.

They've always come to the front desk when I've called. They want to know what kind of cash you have before coming, so don't try a big bill. Convenient change in colones only.

Why would you have to sneak a chica into your hotel room? If that is necessary you are staying in the wrong hotel.
