Amazing that this thread keeps ongoing with call for boycotts, letter writing, etc. Next thing will be some posters wanting to to hand out signs and picket the entrance to the Pres.

A very simple solution has been offered before and for those who missed it it is very easy.

Stay somewhere else where you are appreciated.

YO CRT Thugs:

Personally, old Circus has never had a problem with the dress code at the Presidente when it came to chicas......of course I can't never seem to get a chica to accompany me to the place.

My problem with the dress code is ME. Like the time I was in my renowned sad hobo outfit with face makeup. As I returned from the BM, a couple of security hacks followed me up to my room and asked to see my passport. After looking at it one of them stated "Senor, you no look like the photo on passport." DUH. Priceless.

Come to think of it, after the time I was bounced out of the DR, BM and KL because I was carrying Huggie (my blow up doll to you newbies), I think we should boycot the DR, BM, KL and hell.....throw in all the MP's. That will show them. I can see the headline on AM Costa Rica, "CRT GANG GOES COLD TURKEY ON TUNA." Story on page 2. Damn, what an event that would be. Then we men could go back to doing what men do. Play cards, take sight seeing trips, have beer parites, strip poker....well maybe not, sports fishing, golf, debate and conversation, weight room training. Just to name a few of non chica excursions. We'll show those cien cheating chicas. How about it fellows? I am so proud of myself coming up with this.

Well said. I still don't understand the great appeal, but if you don't like the policy, there are many hotels in CR. I was having lunch at the News Cafe the other day and there are a lot of non-mongering tourists there.

Miguel,
As previously stated, let Admin1 handle this. He'll always negotiate with OUR best interests at heart.

If you want to send an e-mail to the Prez, go ahead, but do not mention your affilliation with CRT.

Also, there are countless other discounts that are available with your CRT membership, not just the Prez discount. But, if you're having 'buyers remorse' about joining, I'm sure that Admin1 would rather refund your money, versus taking a chance of you screwing up the relationship that CRT has with the Prez. If not, then I'll refund your $39.

Respectfully,
Mucho Gusto :?

I am all for Admin1 handling it. I wrote an e-mail to them as a person affected by the policy, I did not mention CRT or the discount.

I still think it is always good to let businesses know when you are unhappy with their service or products. I did so with a bank recently, regarding their loan service, and you know what they did? The bank mgr. of operations called me and put $100 into my account for my trouble. I could give you a number of similar accounts of how writing or calling to complain has helped the situation, so it's just my opinion that writing to complain about the policy is in our best interest, as long as you do so politely.

Miguel Blanco,
I agree with your stance on filing a written complaint to a business, and expressing your dis-satisfaction with their policies or service, and I'm glad that you didn't mention CRT in your letter to them.

But as Jmac has stated.... You're not in the USA, you're in Central America.

Just a quick question for you....
Have you ever stayed at the Presidente Hotel ?
Just curious....

MG :?

I addressed this in the new update thread, but yes, I have stayed there, but not recently. Stayed at the Morazan last month. I did eat at the News Cafe almost every morning.

I may stay at the Presidente next month, just to check it out; but believe me, if they even once refuse to let my girl of choice into my room, I will never stay there again. I think if the girl is not showing nipples or ass, and is not behaving lewdly or obnoxiously, they really have no reason to deny her entry.

Their policy as stated means that many American girls will not be allowed to stay there. Do you really think they will say anything to an American girl staying there? No. Why? Because this policy is intentionally aimed at discriminating against working girls.

I also do not like the policy I have heard they have, of only one girl at a time. There are a couple of cousins I just love to get with, and if I can't have two at once, then I'll just have to take my business elsewhere. Again, why do they really care? Would they deny 2 gringas visiting someone in a room? No.

If I stay at the Presidente it will only be because they have the best deal in town. If I can find an equally good deal that isn't too far from gringo gulch, then I'll stay there.

But my last trip I stayed at the Morazan and at the Gran Via, and both have some major problems, in my opinion. So I'm looking for an alternative. The Sportsman's Lodge sounds great, but I kind of don't like being that far from the action downtown.

You seem intent on getting into a confrontation with the Presidente management. While the dress code may be new and perhaps enforced arbitrarily the one girl in the room goes back a long way and is very straight forward.

Do yourself a favor stay at the HDR.

I spoke to a chica friend of mine last night at the DR.She was dressed in a VERY sexy and revealing manner. I jokingly said to her that she obviously wasn't planning on getting into the Presidente dressed like that. She laughed, then pulled out her covering from her purse. As I said before in a thread, the dress code problem will be resolved by the chicas if they want to continue making money.
