If you dont want to go ... dont ...

We have so many complainers lately. If you are afraid of sharks, stay in the shallowend. Or go watch.

I have had fun at these tourneys. Like the SB poker tourneys it is something different to do.

Thanks for those words of wisdom HS. To bad you missed the point maybe you can get a rebuy and try again.

Hey Irish.... I think I liked you better under your former handle. Sharks...chumming...c'mon you can do better than that. You are usually interesting and informative in your posting but this time I really think you are off the mark. I recommend that you come to the tournament one time to watch and then formulate your opinion as to what goes on. Last night with 7 entries and 4 making the final table after an initial round and unfortunately an optional $50 re-buy necessary, I still couldn't make the final 4 players. (not very shark-like) I still had fun. What did you do last night?

Obviously Drifter after talking with a few board members it is you who missed the point.

Perhaps Vegas Bob "threw" away the game last night ($100) so that he could slow play unsuspecting board members to come so he could pounch on them and take their $50. (obviously this is sarcastic)

If you knew about BJ tournaments, then you would know that the professional player does NOT have an advantage in tournaments such as these. The main advantages come from:

1) Playing basic strategy
2)Money Management (Anyone who has watched Jeopardy can do this part)

It just suprises me that a respected boardmember would lash out at other respected board members. All I was saying is if you dont like it dont come. Why do folks have to take digs at others.

To be frank the poker players here that are very good have a MUCH greater edge in the SB poker tournies, and I do not hear complaning in their threads.

Please dont interpret this as an attack. I just called all the folks here respected board members, but I simply do not feel the stabs at a few other respected folks was needed.

Geez, for a bunch of guys who have all the young chicas they can handle available to them 24X7 you're getting to be a surly bunch. Are things not so rosy in paradise?

From the temperament of these posts you would think you were all stuck in the good old USA all alone under a blanket of snow.

This started as some good-natured ribbing and it's turning into a pissing contest.

Lighten up. Blow-jobs all around.

The tournement will be held as usual at the Paradiso Casino tonight starting at 8:30pm. In spite of previous comments, this is a fun time that isn't expensive ($50 entry fee with one optional re-buy) All entry fees are returned in the prize pool.

PS: From what the owners of the Paradisio tell me there should be at least 5 newbies who are staying at the hotel. Good pickens, right VB?

The Clarion (Amon Plaza) is going to try to hold another Blackjack Tourney tonight at 8:30pm. I believe there will be sufficient attendence to hold it,so if any BJ players are in town...COME ON DOWN. All entry fees are returned to the players with NO casino cut.
