No Wi-Fi at Morizon. These two hotels are getting to be favorites of mine. Both have good and bad. If I am feeling loose I want Morazon. Little bit cheaper, no chica fees or limits, no dress code hassle, short walk to Del Rey, Key Largo, even their own bar has putas (in hotel). Presidente has no chica fees, exceptional security, in room safes large enough for lap tops, reasonable room charges which include breakfast, nicer remodeled rooms, kingsize beds available, 24 hour room service food is good. What else? I am leaning toward Presidente these days but will stay at Morazon with no quabbles.

The Morazan is in a GREAT location and it is a good standby when all of the usual suspects are booked. It's basically attached to Key Largo. The price is great but it's HIT OR MISS with the showers. I think it's a step or two down from the SL, Pres. and Amon Plaza but if they are booked, Morazan is a good alternative and your right in the middle of the Gultch. Farmacia across the street for vitamins (pretty pricey place but right across the street) and right down the street is the News Cafe for breakfast at the rail. No real walk of shame. From Key Largo out the back door and into the hotel. From the Del Rey you walk past the parking lot, fight off some beggers and right into the hotel. Once in the hotel it's a short walk to the front desk and the people you walk by are either gambling or drinking or both. No ecotourist/granola families to navigate past.
Most important factor: NO CHICA FEES AND NO CHICA LIMIT

Check out HOtel Castillo.. Hotle Marazon feels like a throwback to the sleezy days in New YOrk. I've never stayed there but took two chicas up to a room one time. I did not the vibe I was getting from this place.

Damn, the pres has been booked for a while now.

I was thinking, what if you tried booking a room without saying you are a CRT member? Would "they" have a room available for you?

When I emailed them in Jan, Feb and March they were all booked. It's starting to seem sorta fishy to me. but than again maybe I'm just wrong about my assumption.

look into it... stay at Hotel Castillo. Fine hotel and service.. $42 tax included with free breakfast and no chica fee... they make you feel like your business is appreciated.

Considering the amount of CRT guys who stay there would kind it far fetched that they were holding back rooms if you say you are a CRT member.

Just remember you are competing for a room in one of the most popular hotels in San Jose for non mongers as well as mongers.

The Hotel Presidente provides a discount to anyone requesting it if they mention CRT, TSM, WSG and who knows how many other websites.

It's not a big secret.

Hey Paesano63,

Don't give up on the Presidente if you really want to stay there. I had two friends that forgot to make their reservations, and asked to be put on a waiting list. After checking with Wendy, who is great, shortly before the trip they were able to get a room.

Don't think I buy into the CRT embargo theory. Have always used my discount when booking and always get a room. I think they are just booked solid during the busy season.

I've already booked the Morazan for April 5-11, but I'm already scheduling my next trip for june 30 -July 9, and I may split this one 5 days Panama & 5 CR. I'll try the Presidende in July... But I guess I better do my threesome this trip at the Morazan
