Lately I've been scoping out match.com and Yahoo! personals and I've not ever done this since I started going to CR.

Regardless of the so called Gringa attitude and expectations, I've found that Gringas in their 40s are in a lot better condition than Latinas in their 40s. Maybe it is just California Gringas? I'm not sure, however I've done a side by side comparison. A lot of the Latinas are heavy - even more so than Gringas. I was genuinely surprised.

To be honest and just for the record, I don't find the attitudes among educated Latinas and educated Gringas to be vastly different. Sure there is a cultural difference, but to be honest again, I've found that jealously among Latinas to be a lot more than than of Gringas.

Has anyone noticed that Latinas in their 40s in CR are in pretty bad shape compared to the Latinas in the States?

It seems that "holding up" is related to wealth and thus the ability to buy the expensive products that one needs to maintain a healthy appearance (not talking about cosmetic surgery... talking about creams and like products).

I like Latinas, but in the States I'm most likely going to date a Gringa because from what I've seen, Gringas are looking pretty good! (Again, this could be a California thing since there is a lot of wealth here).

The nice part about living in CR is that you don't have to wait for a chica to turn 40 to trade her in for two 20s.

I agree with your findings. Many Latino women lose it at 35 plus but I have known some that still had it together in their 40's. And yes, you are correct as to the California women on AOL and other personal sites. There are some foxy 40's and even believe it or not a number of 50's attractive women in CA. I would think the cosmetic surgery and of course make-up factors have a bearing on this. Don't even check out the women in the Pits of Jax....waste of time. The single bars here all have a trough inside where the throw slop in so these pigetts can root for their hors d oeuvres. Hell, old Circus had some good corresponding going on with some CA foxes until I sent my photo.......Strange, they all of a sudden canceled their email address.

Several girls did compliment me on my photo and said it resembled a famous celebrity over a hundred years ago.........the Elephant Man, Geezzz

Latinas ( non westernized ) are heavy in passion, more so than white women in general, so again ( from the ones I dated and know ) they are indeed prone to jealousy with high drama reaction.

I have to agree that wealth seems to play an important part in middle aged + women's looks ,regardless of ethnic background. Then again, the cultural difference is another factor as well. Most ticas both old and young I know had K*ds before hitting 18. House chores, more K*ds, and unhealthy diet keep them away from better health and shape.

To be fair , I know some 30, 40+ year old grannies Ticas, but they tend to be the middle class ( CR definition ), educated, and still actively working ( not hooking )

You can't be serious. Ticas in their forties are far far more attractive than gringas the same age. Everywhere you look in San Jose there are hot older women that look great and look so young for there age. And way more passionate also. More jeaulous but you can use that to your advantage.

But yea I think california girls keep their looks also but a hot 40 yr old would be very expensive I assure you.

In a latin culture older women have a strong motivation to keep their attractiveness. Because it is accepted for the men to have girlfriends , mistresses etc... They have to look good to compete.

It's a non-issue for me. I have no interest in either Ticas or Gringas in that age category........too old for me.

I don't know where you are in California, I'm up in the Bay Area. The gringas here lose their looks and don't particularly care to remain attractive, or so it seems. The billions they spend on cosmetics doesn't help. The latinas may chunk out, too but they just have a more attractive attitude, no just better looks.

I also have been to Buenos Aires, lots of milfs there that are very hot. Ladies there in their 30's and 40's stay good looking, it's as if it is required.

I live in the SF Bay area so I guess I see things a bit different than Mojokpr.

I bring this subject to the table, because we often compare gringas with latinas however I don't think we do it fairly. I think we are often comparing 20 something hookers (this is what we know.. the fantasy) to much older gringas in the states. I know this sort of mythical comparison will continue regardless so no biggie.... just a subject I've been thinking through lately.

Bottom line is that I don't think we are comparing apples to apples.....

Another thing I have noticed while searching Yahoo and Match is that latinas in costa rica are much different from nearly every female no matter culture in the States.

USA women are far more concerned about looks! Circus touched on this a bit in his response. If you look good and drive a nice - you have it made in the USA! Even while you have no job, no money in the bank, no immediate positives in your near future, if you look good and drive a nice car you'll do well with women in the USA. You see, if you look good and drive a nice car, women here will attempt to "fix" the rest of you because you are "worth" it.

Women in CR are far more concerned about the money.... period! From this perspective, women in CR are smarter than women in the USA!

You are right on target here & this is the reason so many men like the Latin countries as they can easily find 20 some year olds that will spend time with them with a smile. Depends what you are looking for a 20 year old hard body full of energy for sex or a 40 year old sole mate. Maybe better to have the 40 year old good friend to talk too & relate with then find the 20 yr old to take care of mother natures needs. Just an Idea?

Many of the Latinas do look bad after 40 I believe also as they have a hard life taking care of the basics & many start to give up any hope of the white knight saving them. YMMV but I feel we all adjust to the enviornment we live in so where you live always plays a huge part in this.

Zippy, if a striking 40 year old... no 33 year old is to be found then your idea is right on. For me, to be in a relationship with someone in her early 20s is a little too uncomfortable (I'm 43).

I used to own a bar near Myrtle Beach and there were allot of hot older gringas usually divorced (or wanting to be) women that came in the bar on vacation. I think there are allot of hot older gringas out there they just don't run in the circles that I do (maybe you do). They are usually financially secure because they've sucked the life out of some poor bastard or they have an urgency about life because the poor bastard played the game better than them and they didn't get the farm in the divorce. The secure one want different things at that point. The non-secure one desperately want to be secure and are looking for mister right .........foot in the grave.

Thats because they've suck the life out of one or more poor bastards and they've justified it by turning the blame around on the guy and now blame all men. I know this is a generalized statement and there are exceptions to the rule, but I'd be willing to bet that the majority of the gringas in this age group with this type of attitude fall into this catigory.
