Casa Reflejos Aparthotel is the Escazu hillside looks like a great place to stay at $350-400 a week for a 1 bedroom. Does anyone have any information on this aparthotel? The website is casareflejoscr.com. How far from the gulch would this place be? I don't like being isolated from the nightlife but I would a place to relax away from the gulch

Escazu will be close to a $5 cab fare to the Gulch with the latest taxi increases. It is a nice area but not real close.I stay there with my gringo freind who lives there and it was running close to $4 but fares went up again I think.Bus was fairly cheap in the day though but a good walk to the gulch from the bus stop

Escazu is about 5 miles from the gulch but the location of this place is kind of off the beaten track. From the map on their website it is located
on the road to Belo Horizonte and not within walking distance of Escazu San Rafael or Escazu Centro where is where you would find restaurants and shopping.

What I really found strange was this policy:

Quote:
AMENITIES
We provide our apartotels with soap bar, liquid hand soap, dish washing soap and toilet tissue at your arrival only. From that moment on, you will have to provide these items yourself.

Sounds more like an apartment than a hotel. Most apartotels I am familiar with provide those supplies with the daily maid service.
