As many of you were aware the post of the month contest was a great concept that for some unknown reason no matter what I tried did not and never generated the interest I had hoped.

With closing in on 6K in registered board members in over 2 years we never once had over 100 votes cast on a particular post of the month contest. When we get 100 to 200 votes on what condom we prefer and less than 100 on a ZB session giveaway, its time to rethink the idea so that it may be of greater interest to all.

The reasons that it appears that it was not succesful as it became the same few members being nominated & winning over and over.

I am asking the brotherhood for suggestions as to how we can give away a prize per month that benefits the entire membership and not just the talented writing few. I very much want to giveaway something every month I just want it to beneficial and fair to everyone.

Here's a few ideas ( I can't take credit-borrowed from a site I frequent-different hobby)...

1) Post contest- the winning post number in the contest thread is pre-picked, all members have to do is make a post in the contest thread. Rules vary-maybe a 500 or 1000 post limit for the thread, no more than 1 post per hour/day per member. etc...

2) CRT Slogan contest, Members can enter as many times as they want.
Have as much fun as ya want.. Anything goes. Slogans will be judged by Admins, or put to a vote...

3)CRT Avatar contest- maybe theme related- such as holidays, crt anniversary, erectile disfunction, favorite chica nationality or MP, whatever...

This is a tough one? You want everyone to be eligible but, evryone is really interested in what is happening in SJO.

If you make it a post of any type writing skills come into play.

If you make it a trip report it is just the people who actually go.

What are you thinking for prizes? If it is a free session how many of the almost 6000 members go.

Here is a thought. Some type of poll where every one who votes is eligible for a random selection and a free 1 year membership to VIP.

OR

How about the above with each monthly winner being eligible for a drawing at the one year mark for a free room in the Standard Deluxe range at the SL for 4 nights. You could have a fun thread where the winners could have fun chatting about the possibilities of this free trip and everyone else adding their unsavory thoughts.

If the guy can not travel, give him a certificate he could sell on here to another member.

I prefer to give the 1 hour room session at ZB as a prize its much more entertaining than 1 year extention to CRT....

I would say make it something simple, so the Admin 1 doesn't have a lot of work to do with it and would be fun and simple for the members.

My suggestion - keep the Post of the Month!

So what if only 60-80 people generally vote - that's actually in line with the number who bother to post very much. Moreover, having an award like this helps encourage people to put up better, more thoughtful posts. And if anyone has a problem with the same people winning repeatedly, they can certainly take that into consideration when they vote.

My only recommendation - how about offering something of comparable value to a ZB session for the prize so us Mmen won't feel left out? Dinner for two at Fogo Brazil?

Since it would be impossible to come up with something to make everyone happy, why not have more than one thing going at once? Keep the post-of-the-month award and add pic-of-the-month. This would go to the guy who sent in the hottest chica pic that month. A session behind the two-way glass at Pantera Rose is only $40 and would make a great prize. CRT merchandise might be a good alternative for anyone not wanting MP or strip club action. Also, I have been running fantasy sports leagues on yahoo for CRT members. We just finished football and are starting racing & baseball this month. It would be cool to offer some kind of prize to the winner. This would help in participation as well. Wonder what a Crt trophy would look like?

How about you judging on a "Joke of the Month" contest.
Everyone, for the most part, knows or has heard a good joke.
Allow a limit of lets say five (5) per monthly posting and take it from there.
True, you guys would be pretty busy reading jokes, but look at the brigtht side of it... you'd be laughing a lot (hopefully).
And I like the Ticas and Mikey-B's yatch idea...
