We had a great time last year when we went to Costa Rica and are planing on doing it agan in May. But this time we would like to do more than eat, drink, Phuck, gambel and Phuck. Were thinking about going to a soccer game.

Anyone ever been to a soccer game in CR??
Anyone have any info on soccer games in CR??
Any help would be great

I went to the world cup match CR vs USA game in October. The place was packed! CR had to win to advance to the next round of the World Cup.

It rained all night long. Some how I ended up with a seat inder a roof (kind of in a Sky Box). Miss Costa Rica was in the box next to the one I was in..... A TV station had a reported doing interview with her.

Everyone in San Jose was wearing the TICO jerseys the day of the game. The celebrated all night long.

The best time to watch soccer games is on Sundays at 1100 AM, the top two teams are Alajuela and Saprissa. Saprissa's stadium is in Tibas, about 3 Km from San Jose, take a cab and arrive early, best seats are in Palco or Platea. Is a lot of fun

Saprissa is the best bet for a lively atmosphere. Aim for a good opponent, otherwise the crowd will be small and less boisterous.
