IMHO the best place to pick-up non-working Ticas is Castro Bar, but i think it might be a little harder for older gentlemen, especially gringos. i think they would stick out like a sore thumb in there. the place is packed!!!! you also have to watch out for the young Ticos, careful not to talk to the wrong Tico. if i was a Tico and saw a gringo in Castro Bar i would think he was looking to score with one of the girls, thinking maybe this place is another HDR. I suggest y'all be careful in there. I'm a real (really) sexy bitch and can dance for hours, that's why the chicas call me "El Pollo."
a great place to meet chicas is across from McDonalds. I sit on the ledge and watch them come and go all day long. I speak spanish and can talk for hours. it's weird talking to some of the chicas, just trying to make plain conversation they stop to ask me if i'm a reporter or something. I'm just talking here trying to get to know you, that's all mi amor.
lots of non-working chicas can be found in the malls as well.
