If you can find an answer to that question you will be a hero to a lot of So. Fla. residents.

Seems no matter what dates you punch in the fare stays right around $467.00. Last year it was about $200.00 less.

Use to have some success using Tico Travel in Ft. Lauderdale 1-800- 493-8426
or www.ticotravel.com

Good luck

Try www.kayak.com

This engine seems to find the best prices for me. Still in the $400.00 range though

I've tried several different sites, but it always comes back around $450. R/T, give or take a few dollars. I've looked ahead at prices from MIA - SJO through July, and they're always around the same price. It's becoming a very popular market...... :( Looks like we're going to have to suck it up. The price of pleasure isn't so cheap anymore.....

Try travelocity, use the flexible dates option, but still 381.

Thanks Tonka. I've tried Travelocity, and you CAN get a break on the price, if you are flexible with your travel dates. Same thing with www.Orbitz.com and www.Cheaptickets.com. Unfortunately, I am always firm on my travel dates, so I'm at their mercy. :(

I fear bargain airfares to San Jose are history.I fly form Dallas and two years ago was getting winter aznd spring airfares for $250 to $300 last winter and Spring more like $325 to $400 and this year best I have seen was around Christmas for March about $460 but now at $590. I shop fares daily on various sites and sales often do not last long. rbc100

A few weeks ago I asked Big John(of HDR fame) if the high fares are effecting his biz. He was very belligerant-saying that this year is no different than last as far as cost of airfare. He said I just don't know how to purchase properly.
I really felt like saying F-U, but I didn't because I guess he earned the right to be an a-hole if he wants to be one.
I can see where it wouldn't effect the hotel occupancy, but it has to effect the bar and casino biz.
Anyone know of any effects the higher fares are having? Maybe the girls will start to promote: early bird specials, 2 for 1, TLN for the price of an hour, etc. Wouldn't that be nice

Since I've had a hell of a time finding rooms and my amigo & I could not even book our seats together on the way down OR back, it looks like not much effect Scuba. (Glad we booked a couple weeks ago- they were 150.00 cheaper.)
The CR high season appears to be wide open with flights and hotels full in spite of the higher fares.

I think you should present your idea of the "CRT happy hr. 2 for 1 chica specials" to the working girls and see what they say.

I booked a flight in November for this up coming April using frequent flyer miles. Cost me $27.00.... seeing current prices I guess it was a good use of my mileage.

I paid under $300 from Orlando last October.

But seriously guys - someone above mentioned travelocity - I agree go there and put your city pairs in and they will e-mail when the rate goes down.
