A friend cancelled his reservation for a standard room at the Hotel Presidente for Feb 9- Feb 14.

If you need a room and have been unable to get one in the Presidente for that time period, give them a call or e-mail.

Is there any charge if you cancell a reservation at the Presidente ?

No charge if you do it well in advance. I do not recall their rules now but I think they want 72 hour notice. I try to give more.

Here is a quote from the reservation form:

Reservation & Cancellation Policy:

Reservations may be CANCELED with no penalties or charges up to 72
hours before your confirmed arrival (Check-In) date. After the 72-
hour deadline your card may be subject to a penalty charge equivalent
to a one night's rate and taxes. Cancellations must be made in writing.
The Hotel will issue a cancellation number as confirmation that the
request has been received and processed.

I need a room for Feb 9 - Feb 12. Does your friend still have it?

He cancelled so he does not have it.
It is probably long gone by now but call or write and ask.
