Yesterday at the DR as I was having a beer during HH,I noticed that 2 chicas that I had met the day before were being denied entrance. Knowing what was going on,I approached the security guy and told him they were with me. He immediately said OK and I had them sit with us for a few minutes and then they went to work. They were told that it was too crowded and to come back later. (it certainly wasn't crowded. These chicas were there for the 3rd time and were certainly not troublemakers. It seems that these guys are deciding who gets in and who doesn't. This is bullshit and I am going to talk to Greg about it. Some time back,I posted about the security guys requiring a chica first go to the Monkey Bar and BUY a drink and bring the receipt back to obtain entrance. I spoke to Greg about that and he denied that management knew nothing about it. That stopped but this new shit is unfair (and keeps some nice chicas away)

I agree. That type of nonsense pisses me off. When I was there in November , I saw security turn a few girls away because they were wearing mini-skirts! WTF? Mini-skirts are sexy and I want to see more of them...not less. One girl told security that she was with me and he let her in. Still, they shouldn't be hassling chicas over crap like that. If I had my way, short skirts would be mandatory. We would have a better idea of what we are getting and it would force the lazy ones to shave thier hairy legs. 8)

DAmn!! I know how the chicas feel. on my last trip i stopped into the DR in the afternoon and as i entered security stopped me at the door. they asked me what i was doing, to which i replied, walking in here. a tall security guy walked over with the metal detecor wand and asked me if it was ok for them to ask me some questions.. i said whatever you want i just want to walk in here... then he asked if i was coming in to play at the casino and i said yeah that too... he asked me if i had a knife and i said... first i paused at the question and then i replied.. yes i have a knife.. a knife and some forks and spoons, but i'm sorry i don't have them with me at this time.. they're back at home in one of the drawers in my kitchen.. they looked at me all puzzled... by now my ass was ready for a drink but they wanted to scan me before i entered... as they scanned me i told them to watch out for my camera which i had hook up to my belt. I don't know what that was all about but they let me in and I walked around, no chicas, and walked right back out.

Who knows... but not letting chicas in is a bad thing... bad for business, because we will follow the girls wherever they go.

CRT members should complain to DR/BM management!!!

The girl I was with got denied for that. I took her out in the morning, she stayed a couple hours + we grabbed a meal. When we came back, he told her her skirt was to short, and that she had to change it!

I was just thinking to myself, does ANYONE in this building really care what the girls are wearing? Everyone in there, or most have the intention of seeing the girl with no clothes on, so whats the big deal?

Another girl I talked to said sometimes security will deny them entrance if theyve came in and left to many times. Not sure on the details of that, but sounds kind of lame.

To stick up for the security guards though, I had nothing but great experiences with the guys. One night the ATM machine was messed up and not giving out money. I had requested 40,000 colones off my debit card and didnt feel the need to stand there for the what turned out to be 45 minutes, and he offered to watch it for me. I actually forgot about the whole thing, and he came and handed me the 40k.

Another instance, I was waiting for a street vendor guy to come around and asked one of the guys at the door to give me a hollar when he comes around. I ended up going way over to the slot machine side of the DR, but yet he came and found me to let me know.

Maybe its just a common thing in CR, but I know if I asked someone to do such things back home Id have a very hard time.

At the same time you have to remember that each incident always has two sides to the story. Maybe they know something about the chicas we dont, or maybe their just trying to get the good girls in, and the bad girls out. They could easily have a different opinion on good and bad.

Maybe they are getting just a little too cocky. Maybe time for some bad press for the Del Rey. I think they are making so much money they are getting complacent. All it takes is playing the message boards for a while, letting some information get out. Some real, some rumors. Never like for any establishment to think they have too much power!

If only SJ had any other form of competition in that scene.

You'd be better off just going straight to management and telling him to phuck off, and hope that he changed his prices back

Think you got your threads confused. This not about the price of beer and water but the arbitrary decisions being made as to who is allowed in the BM and who are refused by security.

Nope, I was just making a response to the comment to the post 2 up from this.

He claimed we should post some rumors about the DR, or put out some negative feedback kind of deal so that the management would come back to normal stances on things.

Im saying that approach wont do much at all, CRT only represents a small fraction of his client base. It would have about as good effect as every one of us going to the management and telling them we want change.

I think/hope Im on the right thread

I am not defending the DR or their policies, but please remember these guys (security) see a lot more than we do, and know these girls a lot better than us. They see which girls do drugs, they know which girls have been kicked out of rooms, they know what girl passes out in the bathroom.

You may think these are nice girls, but they are the girls that steal VB's money and vibrator, steal cameras, raid your minibar, wait til you pass out and take your wallet. How can you tell when a tica is lying? her lips are moving...trust me!

Sure...some mistakes may be made at times, but I for one think the security there is quite good...how many bars have you been to, where there are 300-400 drunk guys chasing women, and there are little to know fights. And if you look latin (like I sort of do), they will wand you with the metal detector. I always just say (in English) no problem, and they usually stand off.

Honestly, if you don't like their policies dont go.

who comes in and out of their properties. I am street wise (to a point) and always try to be aware of my surroundings. I do not travel drunk or casually walk around alone at night.

I appreicate places that show they are concerned about security. When I travel to CR I am on vacation. I want to relax and enjoy myself. I feel totally safe in the Del Rey Casino and bar areas. It also gives me peace of mind to know hotels such as Hotel Presidente have solid securty in place. They deal with these people (both gals and guys) daily not just a few time a year like most of us.

Ok...so what if a few attractive gals fail to gain enterance to a place! It's not like there are not 10 others to replace them who are just as good looking. I am sure their procedures helps keep us all safe. It will cause these gals to think twice about pulling anything over on us.

Isn't that part of what we do on this board? We help keep eachother safe and also cause the gals to double think how they treat us. I am sure many of them are ever aware that they are being reviewed by a large percentage of the guys that travel to CR.

I have not had any bad experiences at any of the popular places reviewed on this board. I guess on my next visit I should tip the door security for the fine job they are doing.
