For all you penny pinchers. 8)

Had lunch with a Tico friend of mine yesterday at the friendly neighborhood Taco Bell. Some slight differences. Although the meat taste the same the shell is yellow corn which in my opinion makes the tacos taste a hell of a lot better then the white corn served in the states. You also get french fries and a small drink with your combos.

The differences in the combo's serving size is quite noticible when you compare it the serving size in the U.S. Now I understand why Americans are getting fatter by the day.

LH,

Does the beef taco come with chopped beef (like US) or shredded beef?

I have eaten a couple of tacos in CR (in SJ and Jaco) and both were shredded beef which is kind of weird in a taco.

thanks.

What was her name?

Same as the meat in the U.S. I did not notice a difference in the beef, only the taco shell.

How do the prices compare to Taco Bell in the US :?: How do they compare to the typical Tico soda where you can get a full meal (a casada) for anywhere between 1000 to 1500 colones :?:

The prices are comparable to the U.S prices but you get less quantity on the San Jose menu, I got 3 regular tacos, french fries and a drink for about 1100 colones or approximately $2.50. The same meal in the states would of cost around $4.00 but my drink would of been triple in size.

In the US they give you a 1/2 gallon cup with your combo(not really but pretty damn close) and here in SJ they give you what would be considered a courtesy cup in the US as your soda size, refills are free.

If you looking for quantity and quality then it is still cheaper to skip the fast food restarants here and hit the small Tico joints as you definitely get healthier and more food for your money.

After a long, hard day and looking forward to my next trip south, I am absolutely thrilled to come home and see your exciting fun filled trip report after your first 5 nights in paradise on ph**king Taco Bell Latinoheat.
I see you also complaining about the 100 colone price increase on drinks at the BM just like last year. What else do you do down there besides bitch about a few colones and thrill us with your reviews the crappy fast food places? You might just be more worthless in SJO than you are back here, it's doubtful anyone goes to SJO looking forward to Taco Bell and Burger King besides you. There you are in chicaland surrounded by hot prospects and you're mind is in Taco Bell. We like the other tacos. Any chance you might fill us in on some other, more important observations like, hmm, I don't know, maybe, the P U S S Y scene? Are you even getting any action? Been to room 10 at ZB yet? Try eating the taco in there. Go do a taco threesome and report back with something worth reading.

Your friend,
Paco

Don't worry Paco I'm getting plenty of action from your Panamanian and Lesbian Biker woman. I just noticed the scar on her scalp the other night.

Another cool thing about Taco Bell in CR is that the fries come in the fashion of the American NachoBellGrande... in other words, the fries in the combos come covered with cheese, sour cream, tomatoes and chives... and believe it or not, it tastes damn good!

Don't know if ALL Taco Bells do this, but atleast the one in Heredia does.

I don't think the standard combo fries come that way, but it's definitely on the menu.
