I'm reading all the things about Jaco and about half are accurate. I want to get some feedback before I make the leap and get a bigger house or apt. in addition to the one I live in. How often, if at all, do you guys head to Jaco when you are in Costa Rica? Would you stay at a nice, clean, safe comfortable house or do most prefer staying in a hotel while on vacation? Looking at a price of $60 per night with no chica fee. Now for the numbers to work, it would probably have to be a two bedroom place with each gentleman having his own bedroom and bath, while sharing the kitchen. Just trying to determine if there is enough interest to do this. Probably will have some activities going involving chicas, romantic boat trips, catered dinners, etc. Just say no if you don't think it's a good idea, won't hurt my feelings.

It may be worth looking into. The heat is bad, but not unbearable. The bad part about Jaco is that there's nothing going on in the daytime. There probably is, but it's too hot to go looking for it. If you can put together some organized activities (with chicas), it might be worth exploring.

I'm in Jaco about 5 times a year for 3-4 months total and would love to rent a house downtown, as my other rental went down the toilet. I rented a 3 bdrm house on the ocean in Tarcoles for several years at $600 per week(altho she didn't charge for a few extra days). Another problem with Tarcoles was the necessity of renting a car. Two to three bedrooms would be ideal with a pool ,if possible. Have no fear, I believe the rentals would definately carry you, and the annual appreciation on the house will handsomely reward you.

I'd be interested in such a place 3rd.

I tried to get some friends of mine together to rent a condo in Jaco, however none could make it (K*ds and wives). Anyway, the only thing I'd really like with this place you are thinking about is a pool since Chicas love being around a pool during the day it might be easy to get some over for who knows what (I know, have to be careful they don't steal the TV!).

I like Jaco a lot... nothing to do during the day is just my style when on vacation. :) I think the heat is just a matter of mentally preparing for it, but this is just me.

I'm still looking around. Haven't really had enough feedback to move forward yet. I was definitely factoring in the pool. And I would like to get something nice to possibly host parties when there weren't guests there. Looking for more of a player's pad and not a budget thing. Not that it would be all that expensive. I'll keep looking. Every once in a while a good rental pops up here.
