Transferring my AMEX miles to my Continental one pass account The next available dates to SJO are May 2 using 35,000. You can travel sooner if you use 70,000 So I am booked may 2-6 but I know I can't wait that long

Cala,
I'm no lawyer, but wouldn't that amount to fraud?

It's not for me. I'm just looking out for a fellow CRTer!

Actually it's all OK as long as you have different kinds of personal and business needs. But I'm not a lawyer either!

First, thanks to everybody for the info and good tips.

Last question, does anybody know if AA gives FF miles for balance transfers? I don't usually carry CC balances but last month I booked my next flight and some other things on my credit card before I received my AA cards. If I transferred the balance (about $1,200) to my AA gold card, would I get the miles? There's no transfer fee and a 6.9% APR, otherwise I would just pay it off, but if I can get 1200 miles for a one month finance charge of like $10, that's no so bad.

Thanks again.

I am not sure about your specific card, I would call and ask prior to making the transfer, I do know my card at Merrill any transfers I make are $ 1 for $ 1..

See you at the SB
