One thing about translations in CR it can be a very regional thing the way they understand it or use it. You want to say pussyy to a Tica it is Mico ( it of course is other words also but this is used a lot) & I don't know of another Latin Country that uses this word like this. This is how you can tell in an interview who is telling the truth about where they are from. You can tell by accent also but that is a little harder to the untrained ear.
I just like to know what I am dealing with. A Nica, Tica, Panamanian, Colombian or a Pola(hillbilly) etc. The reason why has already been established by this forum. If you say this to a non Tica Cómo es esta noche su mico. She will look at you like WTF. A true Tica will take a deep breath mouth wide open & say you bad boy. I just have had some Nicas lie saying they are Tica because they think this puts them in a better class to get more money possibly but really Gringos don't care we just want a pretty Latina GFE at a good price.
You can always ask for ID but that is a little more crude or rude. It is just another tool one can use. All I can say it has been worth my time to know these little things. It makes you different.
I assume everyone here knows why these people are called Ticos. It is because they use tico on the end of their words frequently. Most other countries say for example just a moment is un momento well ticos say momentico etc. Their slang so to speak. Typical Spanish dictionaries will not help you here. One saying they have is for example Chupa Todos. They just gag when I use this stuff since I am so Gringo.
For example watch the reaction you get from a Tica if you use this phrase. Hay Mamita que rico chupa todos. Mimic their accent it is funny! This is like a Tico talking (a lo Tico) it comes off to a Tica as strange coming from a Gringo & is a gas for me, try it watch her eyes & reaction but do it serious like.
You want to have some fun learn this stuff you will find yourself with a group of Ticas begging you to just say this or that. Believe me it raises the attention level you recieve & lowers your price. I have had Ticas almost pee their pants over a Gringo Speaking their own Slang. Since we already know they are so Ch*ld like it is most effective.
To a Tica they see this like hey baby you are so delicious I want to just eat you alive or suck you in completely is the more literal translation. It is not that offensive really in the Del Rey at least this is what I have found; the literal translation is not the same. YMMV
