Take it from my personal experience. Lived in Mexico 3 years. Met and married a "wonderful" younger gal from Mex City. Moved back to USA for her to get post graduate degree. AFter ALMOST 3 yrs in this program, she became more combative, didnt like my family, didnt like my friends, wanted to do her own thing, didnt want to drink and party with me anymore...BUT wanted me to pay for everything while she was finishing her Doctorate. I finally came to my wits and went another direction. Could have been much worse...but how strange that all the shit hit the fan AFTER she was locked into the greencard and fast track citizenship program. I hope I got an honorable mention in her Doctorate certificate for writing half her papers in English

.
Am I bitter...hell no. Do I regret the almost 5 yr relationship, no. BUT, subconsciously or consciously...the immigrants know the rules and timelines better than we citizens do...and this is their program for BETTERING their lives...with YOUR help and marriage.
Lesson learned...never again...
