Looks like they had a $4 per room rate increase on the "old" wing.

Please note it is simpler to charge all food & Beverage to your room so that a 10% discount will be applied to all upon check out!
:?

They have not privided a 10 % discount to any food or beverage charged to my room in the past. Is this a new policy? I was informed that all discounts had to be made at the bar prior to charging them to your room.

That still looks pretty confusing to me. Breaking it down to it's basics (before taxes or discounts):

Base rate is $49, but that is for std reg w/shared bathrooms and there are only 2 of them
There are 2 more std reg. with private bath for $10 more or $59
There are 6 std large for $10 more or $69
There are 6 std deluxe for $10 more or $79
There are 4 jr suites for $10 more or $89
The original Master Suite in the Courtyard for $10 more or $99 and the new Penthouse for $250.

The location, view, bed size and a/c are somewhat independent of price, though there is a rough correlation. For example, only 1 of the large rooms is in the new wings with kingsized beds and a/c and all BUT one of the deluxe rooms are. Similarly all but one of the junior suites are in the new wings. and there is a deluxe and a suite that have kitchenettes. So those reserving should consult the link if any of that matters.

Hi GG!

Hey, I ate more than half of my meals at the SL. The prices are good and the food is great! I always paid for both my meals and drinks at the bar before I left the area. I always got the discount. After a day or so, I didn't even have to ask for it. BTW, Margie is a sweetheart, isn't she?

I have had previous bad experiences with bar bills charged to my room (at other hotels in other cities) and always try to avoid that.

FWIW,

underdog

This is my neighborhood bar...and I confirm that the CRT discount applies to all F&B. Sometimes you have to remind them though...not always diligent about remembering to factor in that discount on the computer.

Not charging to my room is a practice I usually follow, I do not want to discuss a bar or restauant bill when I am checking out. This is usually a sad time anyway, I do not want it anymore depressing disputing a charge..

The girls at the bar were getting better about applying the discount during my last trip in July. It was still kind of new for them, you can always remind them if they forgot you are a VIP member. No hassle, just a quick adjustment. I can't wait to see some of my favorite bartenders in all of San Jose.

7 days and counting

In two stays, and third one this weekend, I have charged my F&B to my room. No problem at all. Each time you finish your meal/drinks, they give you a check to sign off. You can inspect the bill for correctness.

It's easier on the bartender to present your card when you order. If there are two or more bartenders remind who ever takes the next drink order. If a shift change occurs during your festivity you may have to tab out and open a new one.

reguadring Bill at the SL......I'm posting this message on as my of the differant sections as I can...............

I was first supposted to come to CR on 10/20/05 and stay at the Prez.
however I had to change plans due to hurricane Wilma.
Im coming in on the 10/27/05....AND everyone was booked.........the Prez.....KL........and all the others. At SL first told me they were booked too..........however Bill and his staff found a room for me ( he had to kick his own family out to make room )he could have charged me an ARM ad a LEG.....but he gave me the CRT rates........SO my PROPS go out to Bill and his staff for making room for me.
Unfortunatly...got the word today that my Mother just passed....so I can't advantage of ther'e kindness.
HOWEVER, I"m trying to put the word out there that Bill and his staff at the SLwill do WHATEVER they can to accomodate CRT members.
I think we need to think "outside the bun " and think of SL as our new monger Hotel

hope I didn't bore you with this testimonail

just my opinion

Grief does funny things to some people. I think we got the message the first time you posted it. What is this - #5 in just the last few hours? Check the forum posting guidelines on multiple posts - a big no-no - plus it makes you seem a bit whacked. I think you really need to get away from the keyboard and start dealing with your problems for now.

Gentlemen

Can someone clear up the room descriptions for SL. The SL site describes ‘king size beds’ for the junior and master suits. Does this mean two bd rooms separated by a door?

Flying in with a friend on the 17th. I would rather not see his azz that night, and would like some privacy.

Also, has anyone made registrations on-line, or have you phoned in? If so, I have not seen a phone #

Any information would be great.

Thanks!
B-Snake
