This is my first post here, as I am new to the forum. I have an upcoming trip planned from 4/26-05/02. Thanks to the recommendations that I have read here I made the decision to stay in San Jose rather than travel to Jaco, and I have booked a room at Castillo. I greatly appreciate all of your posts that helped me make this decision.

I’m not new to mongering, and I have visited CR several times. But I’ve never done it there. For some reason I decided to try marriage for the last 15 years, and it worked out so well that I am now un-married. And very eager to get out of the US for a week and have some fun.

Thanks again for all of your help. I’m sure that I’ll have questions, I want to do the responsible thing and read the forum before I start asking them.

Have a great time! So much fun there and new experiences to the hobby. I does just about ruin the hobby in the US as you cannot see why you would pay $600 an hour for a used up 40 year old lady that lays there and smells of crack... Okay, not that bad, but surely close. Hope to see you out there some day.

Also, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT, but since the most recent military operation in one Middle East airfares have exploded higher. I grabbed a ticket just as it began, and I got from the east coast to SJ for ~$400, including minor things like picking my seat. A few days later that was $1,200.

Airline fares have been crazy volatile, especially anything Europe to Asia due to flight routing changes. I don’t normally travel there so I can’t offer any firsthand knowledge.
