I remember staying at the SL when it first opened. I think the only rooms were the ones in the courtyard but I could be mistaken. Bill was a good man who took care of his customers.

Actually when it first opened there were rooms in the courtyard and the clubhouse area. Bill was living in Amastad one of the rooms in the club area. He also owned what would become the modern wing but it was not ready for occupancy. Eventually he would buy and develop what would become the Mansion Wing.
