Hello group got a group of us looking to plan a fishing trip to Costa Rica some time next summer to fall time and want to locate a safe place to stay, close to some good offshore fishing and also close to some good nightlife and entertainment. We are open to Airbnb or a nice community rica friendly preferably gateway or with security. We are researching now to know where to fish, with lodging very close to the marina and to the nightlife where we can also have a good time while there, and recommendations or suggestions is very well appreciated. Even is you can recommend good experiences with captains used as well.

Best fishing I have had in Costa rica has been down in Golfito / Puerto Jimenez No nightlife so to speak unless you speak spanish and have some game. There are girls there but you have to pick them up, not your typical working girls but they will appreciate the payday so as long as they are not with their boyfriend or husband you have a shot. Other than that you have Quepos at marina Pez Vela (they are catering to the higher end just so you know) Find boats online vs booking a boat at the marina. There are a couple of places you can for girls go assuming they are still open, Wacky Wandas was always hit and miss. Ask a taxi driver wherever you go for info but for christs sake be careful and if possible go as a group. The Marina has rooms and they are extremely nice but expect 500-1100 per night. If you go to Tamarindo there are a couple of places to find boats off the beach but I have found the fishing not as good as going south. You will have more of a shot at picking up tourists at the bars and like Golfito ask the the taxistas or be speaking spanish and talk to the locals without being too forward test the waters a little before propositioning them....

My favorite is https://www.mavericksportfish.com/ in Los SueƱos outside of Jaco. There are a ton of places to stay and a lot of places to have fun. They actually make their own boats which are amazing. The crew is great and they know how to fish offshore.
