I've been staying at the SL forever on my visits (over 15 years).

I pretty much have a novia whom I've been seeing going on 5 years and rarely see anyone else. This Princess meets ALL of my needs, and more, and I have no reason to change.

That said, I'm thinking, for my next visit, to maybe find a nice AirBnb, maybe in Escazu for example. I've never used an AirBnb in San Jose before other tha VRBO rentals when I travel to different parts of the country for my hiking and photography expeditions.

Anything I need to know or be aware of with AirBnb's in SJ and my novia staying there with me?

Done it many times, just register as a couple and give them both of your names. I would guess I have stayed at 10 or 15 different Air bnbs and never had a question.

Have stayed at Airbnbs in Barrio Escalante, Sabana, and Escauzu.. if its a doorman/ reception type building usually have to register the novia so they can walk in and out without hassle. Houses are usually no issue...

Theres a greeat house in Barrio Escalante that I enjoy stayin in

PM me if you need some links...

read the rules and info. If they don't want you to be bringing ladies there, they basically tell you.

If the airbnb looks big enough to host a couple of folks, I will ask if I can have local friends come over for a dinner or to use the pool (if they have a pool). their response will give you a good idea on abilities to bring folks.

if you have some Airbnb's you are looking at and want to PM the airbnb to me, I can let you know if I have been in that building or not and their policies.

As long as you check in / register together as a couple, there should be no issues. If she can't be with you when you check in, tell the host she is arriving later and give them her information (ie. name). A lot of unmarried couples travel together. What a lot of hosts push back on are UNREGISTERED guests.

When you sign up for the AirBnB give them her name as a second guest.

I have been staying in Airbnb for 2 years now and don't ever see myself going back to hotels in the gulch. I like the amenities and mainly the privacy as so does my company, renting an Airbnb allows me to cook and also gives that more at home feeling vs a Hotel. I prefer renting a 2br /2 Bath apartment. 1 Bedroom/Bath I use for the ladies visiting and the other master bedroom to sleep.

You will want to directly PM the host prior to renting any apartment. Be very direct in asking and tell them you have Expat friends in the area and want to possibly have company, is having a guest for a visit, Okay?

You can also register for 2 guests as mentioned, but I would still ask the host the question just for peace of mind it's best to know upfront their property/host rules and if other guests are permitted.

What if you find another girl outside your Novia's daily visits and want to invite her over this way you would know for sure.
