Nope, Vegas Bob, from Boston. Was a fixture in CRT and the Del Rey for many, many years.

Vegas Bob never paid more than $60. Every trip I would make VB was always at the Del Rey

My news is not good but nothing certain.

I knew him back in 2008, 2009, and saw him in HDR and spoke with him around 2019, his Parkinson's looked pretty bad, he was shaking continuously, lost weight, looked pale, much older, didn't look good.

Still, he was clear headed and still had his sense of humor, and was still scouting for new taste treats at HDR, but like I say, four years ago he didn't look good, sorry to report.

Back in the days of amazement and wonderment, he gave me a referral or two, and they met his recommendations in spades, I hope the best for him, myself and my friends always enjoyed his sense of humor and zest for life.

One of his friends from Vegas, Tom Chatham, known as "Pai-Gow Tom" passed years ago, he was a champion Pai Gow player, according to him, lol.

If you know Vegas Bob, you might know him, and he was a fun good old guy too.

I think you mean Vegas Bill. I saw him tonight in Fort Lauderdale. He is totally disillusioned with Costa Rica and has cut all ties there and lives in Medellin now, in between trips to the US. He keeps trying to convince me to come to Medellin, and gave me a list of hotels and restaurants there. He said Cuba Dave lives in Medellin now and he sees him all the time. He thinks Medellin is the Promised Land.

No, they are talking about Vegas Bob! I met Bob 25 years ago in the Del Rey and we would bump into each other every trip that I made until I upgraded to Rio de Janeiro.

I knew Vegas Bob from the old Boston days when visiting girls from Montreal would visit. Met him on the old TBD board and we stayed in contact for a very long time. Went to CR on his recommendation in 2004, then returned again in 2008 and then some. Last contact was probably 8 or so years ago.

Been wondering if he's still amongst us or has passed? Maybe one of the old timers will see this and have solid intel?
