Sometimes "policies" help prevent us from getting into trouble with ourselves. The same policies can help you avoid losing money in the stock market. For instance, if you invest in broad, low cost ETFs, your return may not be especially impressive. But, you are almost 100% assured not to lose money in the long run. If on the other hand, you put all of your money into a single volatile stock, yes there is a small chance of getting a massive return. However, there is a much greater chance that you will lose most of your money, if not all of it. So, which would you rather have? A small modest return, or to lose all of your money? If you know the risk before leaping in, you could just make a policy that you simply will not invest in individual stocks. If you adhere to the policy, you will not lose money, though at the same time you will not get rich quick from investing in ETFs.

The same can be said of women. If you institute a policy that you simply will not give a woman money unless you are getting something in return, then you will be okay. If you have enough self discipline to stick with the policy, then the next time a woman asks you for money, you respond in return "What am I getting in exchange if I give you this money?" If she says she's going to ride you, then I personally would respond by saying "Okay, I'll give you the money the next time we are in physical proximity, so you can ride me. I will return to CR 2 months from now." If she gets angry and says that's not good enough for her, you can always move on to the next woman. Or, she's patient enough to wait it out, she gets her cash 2 months from now, and you get to shag each other 2 months from now. But if you are able to not deviate from the policy, you will prevent yourself from losing money.

The simple plan is: you are not sending a woman money unless you are getting something in return. If the women doesn't have enough food or is stuck in jail, that's her problem, not matter how unfortunate the situation may be. If she can persuade you to give up your money without providing you anything, then I would recommend working on your self control skills. There are people and books that can help you develop this skill.

On a side note, I have a post in another thread where I am discussing purchases while not getting anything in the moment. Regardless of whether I have any policies in life, this situation is different because I'm not sending her any money directly, I am simply paying for her accommodations, so I am in complete control of the situation, because I can cancel those accommodations and get a refund. If you had to go back and do this situation again, what you could have done instead is offered to pay all of the vendors directly and see what her response is, even though doing so likely would not have been practical. I don't think the jail is going to accept a bail bond payment from another country to get someone released, nor do I think it would be easy to have a grocery store stock a cart and have it waiting for your girl to pick up food.

I personally suggest you make a policy that you don't give women money unless you get something in return. But if you can't adhere to that, fall back on option 2. If I get a woman who tells me her car is broken, then I might say "Okay, I'll pay the mechanic for your repairs, what's the name of his auto shop"? If I send money to a repair shop, she's not going to be able to get anything tangible to sell and turn it into cash she could use on booze or a boyfriend. But if she responds by saying "FU, I need that money now!" Boop, I just caught someone in a lie and will block her and move on. Mind you, I wouldn't send money to the mechanic either, but I would at least be able to authenticate her story to see if she's lying to me.

Generally speaking women tend to be more prolific liars than men; you have to be careful when dealing with them.

Very good advice, and I like the focus on each of us dealing with our own weakness, whether it be falling in love with these women, or losing our perspective in helping out a woman or woman and family that may truly be in a bad spot.

When helping out remember this... No good deed goes unpunished. You may genuinely help in some particular moment, but almost instantly you can begin to change her lifestyle and needs, ramping it up. And it will never end nor become any less demand.

These gals have decided to use men's desire for them to meet their own needs and wants. Even though you genuinely help, you will become a victim of that. It will not stop until you stop it, and the hardship that will cause will be even greater.

Tell me a time when you offered one of these chicas money, and they said, oh, I don't really need anything right now, but thanks. So aside from a strict "one time only" policy, or a "never" policy, remember that whatever help you are providing is magnifying a future problem both for you and her.

There is no shame or guilt in lying to a gringo to get money. They may tell you it’s for their sick Ch*ld, dying mother, etc., but then they post pictures of them at the beach the next day. Your money paid for that trip. You aren’t a fellow human in their eyes, you are as lowly as an ant and they feel the same remorse as you feel for stepping on an ant.

You may be their socio-economic superior, but they don’t see it that way.

These are NOT girls from El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala who actually live in poverty. These are girls who are middle class. Have you ever had a video call in their house? Damm nice!

Caveat Emptor! All these broads are waiting for a dumb gringo to bang (in more ways than one.) Give your money away but don't cry about it afterward. They have all sorts of stories. One Ho even sent me an emergency request and said her mother just got mugged and she had to get her to the emergency room at the local hospital. .

One of my old regulars from way back when, she showed me pictures of her and her young son in a very nice home. I asked about that and she informed me she lived at home with her parents helping her raise her son.

After several months of being my fave, one day she calls and said "they stole my rent money!" Now my baby and me are being evicted! I need $500!

Now that was 12 years ago and I was renting a fully furnished 2 bedroom townhouse in a gated community in Escazu for $600, so why would a 20 year old ho need a $500 apartment?

I know Ticos now living in decent Tico hoods with nice unfurnished apartments in the $300 to $400 range, and that is now!

In any event I said "You're being evicted?" She said YES!!!

I said, well some lousy father you have! You mean he's throwing his daughter and grandson out on the street, give me his phone number, I'm going to chew him out royally!!

She was caught and dumbfounded. I said come on over, if you need $500, I got $50 for you to get started, only 9 more john's to go!!!...That was the days when many a ho, even HDR ho's were happy with $50...

Another time back in 2018, a ho who was friends with another monger who was a friend of mine here was a friend of his on Facebook as I was, and messaged me and said she attends older gringos, her pictures were amazing, a stunning little curvy sexy ho.

My buddy was back in the USA so I didn't bother to check with him, I figured if she was his FB friend, she was ok. I gave her my cell number and we talked and agreed to meet at HDR, I would pay $70, more than acceptable back in those days.

At that time I lived downtown, HDR was a 10 minute walk, about 30 minutes before our meeting, she texts me and says her baby is in the hospital and needs to see a specialist but he won't see him until he gets...you guessed it...$70.

She suggested we meet at HDR, I give her the $70, she rushes to the hospital with the $70 and promises to return quickly, I can wait for her there, no more than an hour.

Now I grudgingly admire a ho who can con a fool with good stories, but I didn't even get that, my intelligence, or what's left of it, was insulted.

Normally I would just blow her off disappointed but I told her that's terrible, and I want to just give the $70 to her to take care of this but give another $70 for her services, but I will be late a few minutes, I'm going to the bank to get the extra.

So about 30 minutes later she calls and says she's at the HDR, waiting. I inform her my credit card didn't work in the ATM, I'm now in the bank getting it cleared up, need another 30 minutes.

Thirty minutes later she calls, I said they got it cleared up, I had to do a wire transfer, from my USA bank, I'm still still at the bank, need another 30 minutes for it to go through.

Thirty minutes later she calls, now she's waiting over an hour at HDR. I told her I told the bank officer what the emergency was and he informed me Ticos on CAJA don't pay their doctors and informed me she was lying and refused to give me the money telling me she will be tricking me out of it, and could she come to the bank and talk with him and prove it?

At this point she figured out I was stringing her along all this time and cursed me out royally, I told her she owed me a dollar for my viagra now going to waste, laughed, hung up, blocked her, and when my friend returned, he blocked her and not only me but other friends said she tried to scam them as well, none bit on it, but we were all old experienced mongers having heard many a con and in spite of our dimwittedness, we weren't naive and gullible at least...

Different ones have told me if their family and neighbors in their barrios find out they are spending time with a gringo and DON'T fleece him, especially since they are all expecting a piece of the vig, they are shunned and ostracized and humiliated, the family is saddened, embarrassed and disappointed, and their status in the barrio plummets...

True, but I think it’s a badge of honor is if they easily scammed them, as opposed to just scammed them.

One of the most ridiculous reasons they have told me to send them money is “Mother’s Day.” They aren’t my mother, they aren’t the mother of my K*ds. WTF does Mother’s Day have to do with sending them money? That would be an example of an easy scam.

I've had several chicas ask for money because their bed is broken and they need a new one. lol
