After a long leave of absence, I could not help but dig up this thread out of curiousity. The discussion went on over two months after I left, imagine that.... Well the c note did not break me, nor did the advice here really sway me one way or another as to whether or not to send it. I had firmly decided not to, but when she took the turn down real well, I softened and sent it, easy come easy go. She thanked me, I was satisfied, never expected to see her again nor did I want a return on the money. Adios... BUT when she e-mailed me just 6 days later asking for another 100, well, that was pretty insulting... So, I personally would advise anyone not to send any of the chicas money, though everyone will do as they please... Am afraid the poster that said they are no different than the street hustlers and beggers is pretty near right. Plus, all but the disabled should earn their money like everyone else, assuming there is work and there is for these healthy chicas.

These girls need a taste of reality.

Every single one of us gets up and works 40+ hour weeks. Some of us Im sure bust our ass just to get by, pay the bills, feed the K*ds, mortgage etc.

Why do these girls think they can avoid all these steps in life?

Im sure it would be great if I could just sit at home all day or go shopping, but when it all comes down to it, we cant. We have to work and work and work to have the fun and successs we have.

One of my novias,or amigas whom I email with says that a lot of her aquaintances get lots of money that way , some dont even have to ask, because the stupid pendejo Gringos send it without even being asked. As I've said on previous posts... its all a big game. Email is their newest tool. When their RFM is honored... they cheer and laugh like its a big soccer victory. Now these are hardened hookers... non-pro's might be a little less gamish about the whole thing. But, they have learned the game from their hookin' friends.

One thing I've learned... if you say "no" immediately... they usually give up. They just move on to their list of other gringos. I know you might think that this one is "special" or whatever. Just like she is saying that you are special. Maybe she does have a special personality or smile... blah... blah. But, she really isn't. They are all poor and looking for a way out. They are all in the same boat.

Witling's post is dead-on. Why give out your phone or email? Or are you that lonely at home? Shit... I get lonely sometimes... but hearing from a hooker late-night begging for money... doesn't do it for me. Several trips ago... I decided not to give me phone or email. Instead... I got their's. This gives ME the flexibility to call them back when I return for some play. Its the best way to go.

Final word.... if you really want to send money, get ready for more requests.

Well, allow me to retort... Why would any woman want to have a relationship with any of us? That should be just as beyond you as your original argument. We are mooooooooooooooongers. No different, just on opposite sides of the exact same game.

The reason why is simply human nature, my friend... human nature. On rare, but very much possible occasions, the human side within even the most hardened and cynical ones of us rears its head, and regardless of occupation or hobby, the instinctual needs to be wanted, to feel loved, to be special to someone naturally want to be fulfilled, even if only in pretend-mode... Sometimes some of us have nothing more to turn to other than the "women-of-the-night-who-partake-in-questionable-activities". Ain't nothing wrong with that...

Relationships (be it casual, friendly or intimate)with hookers is not as crazy as one may think (though I don't think I personally would ever do it), provided you have the correct mindset and have both feet grounded to the realities of what the hell you're getting yourself into... Shit, I married an American on my first run, and trust me, the shit she pulled on me rivals some of the best stories I've EVER read on this board, and at the same time I still keep in touch and have a beautiful friendship with Pam*, who was one of my first working girls on my maiden trip. Her and I have kept in touch now for over a year and a half, speaking on average of once every two weeks, and she's been a true and genuine friend to me all this time. As a matter of fact, Pam has even gone to eat with me and my special friend over in CR and it's no big deal... She is a friend whom I've had a great relationship with and will continue to for hopefully many years to come.

I guess what I am saying is...women in general can be evil and it doesn't take this kind of employment to certify or qualify them as such. AND, working women CAN be worth having more than just a simple lay with if you find the right one. Granted, common sense would tell you that we are dealing with a social-level and class-pool where it's obviously seedier and therefore you SHOULD EXPECT to find more bad apples here (among working girls) than in, say, the non-working kittens that live in Escazu, but don't rule each and every one of them out entirely SIMPLY because of profession...

So Jmac... Don't hate, fornicate! Ha! And yes, there IS such thing as GFE's in paradise... Those non-LAL guys who actually seek the elusive GFE can attest to it being possible to find in the gulch. Maybe if your got rid of the red shoes and crack-head entourage, it might help make you less intimidating and help to let the kittens warm up to you a little better and allow you to endulge in a truly GREAT session... I seen crazier things happen!

Most of us will deny reality, even when it's slapping us across the face, and send anyways. So just do what you are going to do. IMHO, a P4P woman is certainly capable of having a relationship with any one of us. But, the true "substance" of that relationship is what's in question here.

And, furthermore..... How does one DEFINE the word "Relationship"? I think that if you asked 10 guys to define the word RELATIONSHIP, you'd probably get 10 different answers. What may be a relationship to you, might only be considered a "6 month fling" to someone else. Nevertheless, if you're enjoying yourself, that's all that matters! Whether it's a ONE-HOUR relationship, or an on-going thing, just enjoy the moment while you're in it. IT'S ALL GOOD!!!

That has got to sum up the reality of it all very well.
This is what makes so many of the ones we meet in the gulch so effective at entering into our weak human emotion. Many of the ones I have met in the gulch were much nicer by nature than many of the Church going Baptist gringas I dated. Some of these churchy types were just plain mean or wolves in sheep’s clothing!! If things didn't go like they wanted LOOKOUT!!! Most of these chicas in the gulch are pushed in this line of work from pure economics so I don't think it makes them bad but sad. Still for me I would not likely carry on a serious relationship with any since it is too easy to find a non working type in CR. If all this type of P4P was in the USA it might have an effect on me to change this to some degree.

It is when these chicas hook when they don't have to or do it so long that they are pro that seems to go over the top or beyond a point of any return.

I see relationships as situational according to what needs need to be met at a given moment & they take many different forms with many different levels according to cards that are being dealt.

Agree with you Mucho everyone should do what makes them feel good with their money, life is short & you can't take it with you. Just make sure you are not being abused is my advise.
