I just happened to go to my Southwest online account and noticed a trip I had booked for 9/19 to 9/24 was no longer showing in my trips. I call SWA and they said the system canceled it because the times changed and the system failed to rebook with the new times. Check and see if you still have a valid confirmation and call them ASAP, if not.

I had the same issue with Southwest last week. My trip in September showed up as terminating in HOU instead of changing flights there and continuing to SJO.

With the unexpected surge in demand, airlines are changing many flight times as more flights are added. The computer tries to adjust your booking but often fails spectacularly. You must call to straighten it out.

This is one circumstance airlines are required to refund your money if you request. Nothing they hate more than giving money back. So they are usually very accommodating. I bought my ticket in a June fare sale for a stupid low price. They spent the time to fix it to my satisfaction with no extra charges.

It isn’t just Southwest. After a schedule readjustment in May, American had me in the air simultaneously on two different flights on my way to SJO. After calling they fixed it by connecting in a different city, something their computer didn’t consider.

Bottom line: schedules of all airlines are in flux as they adjust their flights. Check your reservation on their website to catch reschedules gone amiss and deal with it early.

Agree, especially if months away. Last week I received alerts that flights had been cancelled & rebooked on Southwest & Delta for September. On Southwest, I changed it to a significantly more expensive flight. No charge or problems.

They causing me some issues as well. For my hoped for trip in Nov. I bought a round trip flight using points for one journey and $ for the other. Somehow they did not link them and only showed the outbound journey back to sex prison. Anyway I emailed the after I saw this post yesterday. And they corrected this AM.

This also happened for my upcoming trip to San Diego/TJ and corrected after I got on them.

Thank you for posting this G-W.
