It's been since mid 2012 that I have been to San Jose and Jaco. When in Jaco I stayed at the Cocal for 2-3 nights and the lineup was amazing. I emailed them asking about a RSVP and they sent me paper to fill out and scan back to them which includes my credit card info. Has anyone else done this with no issues? I had zero issues there last time but I have read a lot about people saying the staff have stolen out of their rooms, tabs have been ran up and so on and so forth. Is the Cocal still reliable and trust worthy? I'm hesitant to give them my card info on a piece of paper.

Filling out their form is the only way I know to make a reservation there. I've done it many times. You are going to have to give them a credit card number is some way. My interpretation of their use of the form is getting your signature agreeing to the cancelation policy.

I have never had a problem with my credit card there. But I would never run a tab or use it at the bar. I always pay cash for each drink as it is ordered at the bar.

Most places in Jaco do that! It made me nervous at first, so I obtained a purposely low limit capital one card that I use for places that make me go hummmmmmmm! Then pay cash at check out!

I made a reservation about 10 days ago they don't seem interested in my credit card information still waiting for an email confirmation.... but I did fill out the form two years ago and it was never an issue

I went ahead and booked, received confirmation number almost immediately after sending them the form via email. Person on the other end, seemed professional.

I just got the opposite i CANT BOOK A ROOM WITHOUT A PRINTER! They offered to take CC # but not guarantee room!???? HAD TO CALL 3 TIMES TO GET E MAIL with form THAT YOU CANT FILL OUT!
