Is the wi-fi good enough to use WhatsApp. at the airport or is it better in some parts of the airport like baggage claim or not good at all anywhere.
I would like to contact my driver waiting outside if possible upon arrival using whatsApp.

I have had good luck using WhatsApp on the wifi at SJO. I can't recall anywhere being particularly better or worse than any other.

Consider the bus. All you need do it go to the other side of the parking garage. They will take you to Calle 12, a 20 minute pleasant walk to the downtown. Plus it only costs n 600 co9lones.
