After a near 3 year absence am Finally returning to CR. Traveled there almost yearly from early 2000's till several years ago. I noticed that CRT seems to have slowed down a lot (not nearly as many posts as before). So just wondering how things have been at SL in recent years. Still as active as 3 or 4 years ago? Any updates appreciated.

Still going, but the chicas are charging more and getting fatter. Still lots available. You'll still have a great time.

I find the girls at the Sportsman's to be a group of regulars that continue to get older and a constant influx of attractive new girls. The older girls have their regular customers, the new girls get mixed reviews. From 5pm until about 8:30 the girls at the Sportsman's are of better quality than what is generally at the Del Rey at that time. The quality and quantity picks up later at the Rey. The talent at the mps never changes. It is hit and miss there to service the locals. The quality of service at mps is consistently better than the independents overall. There are always exceptions. There is the occasional girl to be found at the mps that puts most of the girls at the Del Rey and Sportsman's to shame considering looks and quality of service. The whole game is a treasure hunt. Whether at the hotels, strip clubs, mps, social media, referrals from friends or just luck on the street the chance of finding someone that destroys your mind is always out there, depending on how much time you have to invest in looking. Research on this board is a great place to start. Don't take everything said about the girls to be 100% accurate, ymmv. Considering there are women to be found that rival anything to be found in Hollywood in looks with attitudes that far exceed the best you will find in the states, Costa Rica offers opportunities for anyone visiting to have the trip of a lifetime. The average girl at the Sportsman's or Del Rey is better than what most men will ever have the opportunity to meet and get to know in the states.

Thx.-- I'm pretty mellow and easy going. Doesn't take a whole lot to satisfy me. In the past I've always had very good success at SL. Never been much of a Del Rey person. I've stopped in there from time to time but rarely stay more than 1/2 hour or 45 minutes and in near 20 years I think I've only taken 1 girl from Del Rey back to my room at SL. Had much better success at Key Largo but that was 10 years ago and longer. I imagine there's not much going on there these days. Sounds like just hanging at SL will meet my needs. I don't need a "10" or even a "9". Main thing for me is a girl with a GREAT attitude. I'll take a 6 or 7 with a great attitude over 9 or 10 with a Crappy attitude. Last MP I went to was years ago when it was Zona Blue. I wouldn't know where to begin these days for an MP.

Even though the women in Key Largo were for all intents and purposes the same women that were in the Del Rey, the bartenders rotated between the DR and KL and the drink prices were the same, I always had a much better time in KL. I guess it was the party atmosphere with the music and the dancing and it was much easier to determine what women would be a good time back in the room. I was in San Jose in June and walked through Key Largo (you have to enter through the restaurant now) and there was virtually no one in the place. Some poor guy was DJing back where the band used to set up and he was playing to an empty bar.

That said, the Sportsmens was livelier than usual back in June. Returning at the end of the month for 6 nights but unfortunately will miss the CRT anniversary party at the SL. That should be a good time.

You are correct. There was something about the "ambiance" of KL that made it more enjoyable than the DR. Albeit I've always enjoyed the restaurant Del Mar. Always liked to start the evening out with a nice relaxing dinner at Del Mar and 3 or 4 Cuba Libres before moving into the KL.

always thought the place needed a mixed dance scene but KL did and failed
imo it was more about the cross noise of a band and a DJ one room over
the sonic scope of the place was the worst
early days it was a fun place and the bands were good
then again probably not that many mongers like to dance or learn something new
never forget my first night and a puta shouting in my face cause I wouldn't stay off the floor
then a KL bartender jumped out and grabbed my hand
suddenly I was king again

I think Key Largo started going downhill when they began having the DJ in the front room. I much preferred it when there was just the latin band in the back. They actually used to get some pretty good bands and it was fun having the women teach this uncoordinated gringo how to do some latin dances.

I agree with you guys. The KL was a fun place. I remember when it was packed seemingly wall to wall. Would be nice if they brought it back. Lots of fun chicas in there. Oh well.

Back in the early 2000's Key Largo had a buffet consisting of rice and beans with chicken or pork. It was about 4 or 5 dollars then and I think it brought a lot chicas.

BTW---I've lost track but what is the current discount for the SL for VIP CRT members? 10%?

10% on rooms booked through them or the website and 10% restaurant and bar if you show your card. If you stay there and put food, drinks on your room you get the 10%. SL the only place in CR I trust to run a tab at the bar.

Currently there is a CRT summer special with 25% off premium rooms, 15% off standard rooms, but I think it ends Aug 26.

I love my phuckin crt card. Now, if my current gig would stop extending my contract so that I could get out of town for a week, that would be nice.

It was a sausage fest at SL Friday night. There was a pre-halloween party, almost packed with maybe 60 guys and 20 chicas. Chica quality was average, have seen better, didn't see "the one" but a couple possibles. Highlight was the dancer, not her sex appeal but her pure physical fitness prowess. She kept going with her moves for a half hour straight, working up a sweat.
