Even though the women in Key Largo were for all intents and purposes the same women that were in the Del Rey, the bartenders rotated between the DR and KL and the drink prices were the same, I always had a much better time in KL. I guess it was the party atmosphere with the music and the dancing and it was much easier to determine what women would be a good time back in the room. I was in San Jose in June and walked through Key Largo (you have to enter through the restaurant now) and there was virtually no one in the place. Some poor guy was DJing back where the band used to set up and he was playing to an empty bar.
That said, the Sportsmens was livelier than usual back in June. Returning at the end of the month for 6 nights but unfortunately will miss the CRT anniversary party at the SL. That should be a good time.
always thought the place needed a mixed dance scene but KL did and failed
imo it was more about the cross noise of a band and a DJ one room over
the sonic scope of the place was the worst
early days it was a fun place and the bands were good
then again probably not that many mongers like to dance or learn something new
never forget my first night and a puta shouting in my face cause I wouldn't stay off the floor
then a KL bartender jumped out and grabbed my hand
suddenly I was king again
