I'm glad you say so, because I've been just b.s.ing all this time...
Seriously, I admit, that I (and I had a lot of company) thought we'd see 650 by now, but it seems the old aristocracy that controls the crc's here had one last tap dance to play before being yanked off stage.
It's real simple, you don't need an MBA to figure it out.
CR spends a lot more than it takes in and the socialist democracy tax and spend system here is not conducive to international business, I think we all have heard stories of businesses pulling out and going to Nicaragua, Colombia, or even back to the USA.
10 years ago I managed a call center here out of a group of call centers, maybe 10 or so. N Americans and Canadians held the management positions but Ticos held most of the support positions, we had about 100 good paying jobs, $1,000 to $2,500 a month for different sales and support positions.
C.R. harassed them so much they moved to Singapore, many Southeast Asian countries welcome these companies that produce middle class jobs with tax breaks and other incentives, but here, they just want to bleed them dry.
The US economy is booming and looking strong at least for what can be seen across the horizon, even though we owe much more than them proportionately, lol.
The CRC HAS to start devaluing someday, now its just a betting game as to when.
