Not uncommon for 80-150 girls milling around and maybe 20-30 guys. Back in the good ole days. I do not think the owners care if it makes them money or not.

Thought it was a great venue. Think it rivaled the old Olongapo City for fun. I also remember the place being packed wall to wall a couple times. You are right, some of the best times ever. Chicas trying to teach me how to dance. I really liked and miss the old KL.

first night i went there on my first trip i met this dominicana in DR and took her across the street w friends
the band was hot so, we danced the famous merengue...except the dominicana didn't want to dance anymore
and i did
so i was back out w numerous girls wanting to have fun and she came up and tried to take me off the floor
i whipped out $20 and told her to get lost and oh shit! did she read me the riot act lol
it was a bit of a scene and it took place right in the center of the KL dance floor
and suddenly this sexy bartender that was serving us dove under the bar and came out and danced w me
my favorite memory from the place

Certainly great times back in the day. That place was one of the reasons after my 3rd or 4th trip, I came back to the states and started taking private dance lessons. I wish I had done it when I was a teenager but hindsight is always 20-20. The dominicana's and colombiana's were off the charts back then too.

I hope they can revive KL to the glory days. It was a great place back in the day, and seems like no reason it couldn't be again.

They used to have a buffett with rice, beans and some pork or chicken. I think it brought a lot of chicas in to eat cheap. I met some of my best sessions there. It just had a little more of a party atmosphere than the Del Rey.

Helps to know how to dance, that's for sure. I can only imagine. And Spanish, well that's a given too. Wish I had those skills. I too hope the KL comes back.
