Went in a few weeks ago, it was open, nothing going on. Original entrance was closed, had to go through restaurant to get in. No band playing, just a dj where the band used to play. Not a customer in the place.

that place had more potential than any of them imo
further evidence that most of the guys don't even like music
remember my first trips and dancing and drinking all night w girls everywhere
would seem impossible it could fail and yet...
maybe comes down to good help is hard to find in CR idk

Could be because the music the chicas like and the music the old gringos like is not the same.
Also too loud for us old guys anyway.

they used to have great live bands playing all sorts of latino dance music
i mean if you are in CR why wouldn't you want to dance to local fare?
its kind of hard to get excited about seeing a CCR cover band lol
thats like saying the food is too spicy why isn't there Mcd's
but i get it the "get off my lawn" guys rule the day in chepe
i think the girls could care less and would go where the money is

The have renovated the back part... it is very much improved. There is still live music there...but nothing happens until after 11 at night, and busier on Fri-Sat. I think they are working to re-do the part that used to be closer to the old main entrance... and if they do it up the way they have done in the back it will be great.

I loved KL before it closed, great place to dance the with the chicas before bed. I went there in January, but totally dead. I hope it comes back.

Checked it out Thursday night for a quick walk through and me and wingman were only people in the bar area. Layout was similar although some walls have been moved around. We heard a rumour that live music would be playing Friday and Saturday nights so will check it out this weekend.

My wingman and I checked it out one weekend night back at the beginning of March and saw/had the same experience. Nobody there. The last time I had been there was ten years ago, and it was loaded with chicas back then. Sad to see that it's not what it used to be, but maybe with time and a little promotion, now that it has re-opened, it could become a lively place again?

Those of us that were were fortunate enough to have experienced KL in the early to mid/late 2000's were indeed very Lucky. Those were The Best of Times.

Renovations are completed at the back...but not the old entrance part and the front bar/dance area. You enter through the restaurant or the back entrance now. But the reno's they've done have really improved it so I think there's at least some sort of plan to finish it all and get back to business. Perhaps when they decide to reno the HDR main floor they'll transfer the action to the KL. Who knows.
