Well,...I got to CR for the first time yesterday and was relieved of my cash and cell phone last night.

I'm staying at hostel Selina and was drinking out front with friends from the hostel when two girls wandered over from the direction of the SL.

They were all over me...sitting on my lap etc...and I was drunk so didn't notice my shit getting stolen.

I feel kind of like an asshole. I swear...I know better than to have this happen to me but...i guess I actually don't.

Could have been worse, but it's kind of a crappy first experience here.

I'm here to collaborate with a local model and hopefully do a lot of shooting.

Tomorrow will be my last night in San Jose, I think because my budget is tight and need to head for the coast until my cashflow (from my store) stabilizes.

I'd love to meet up with anyone on here,....just to kick it, have a beer and talk (shop) etc.

Been aware of these forums for years but I'm a new VIP member and this is my first post.

i booked three nights in San Jose initially...when i say its my last night..its cuz im not here to stay in San Jose,..im headed for the coast.

i have money...and an online store that pays me out after the first of the month.
its cool though... i met at least half a dozen cool folks and great staff at SL last night

It's cool, I know I'm new here. I didn't like the insinuation but I'm new, I get it. Yeah, I met some regulars and some locals...played a bit of pool and got a little drunk. Met an awesome local Tico, who I won't mention by name but he showed me around...took me by relax.

I have a photo store so I did some publishing and made about 85 of the lost 200 back and hopefully a few hundred more in the next few days.

my budget is slim but not nonexistend. I'll be trying to last my first month on 500-1000 which is less than ideal but ive lived on less. im a monger but its not my main reason for being here.

mainly im here to work with a Costa Rican model (I shoot art/erotic nudes), do some surfing and hopefully explore C. America. a bit.

I for sure am the lurker...but mainly cuz ive never been here or needed a VIP till now.

I discovered these forums years ago and found out about a lot of spots I'd never have known about (Chongos in Iquitos out by the Airport anyone?)

No worries! Yeah, now that I got my card and can access all the cool forums, I'd love to share stories! I've spent a lot of time in Peru and half a dozen other countries in S.A. and Jamaica. Some stuff stateside too. Hawaii, PA, WA, DC...lot's of places!

Love to show off photos too! Hopefully, I'll do some amazing shooting down here! I'll bring some more business cards next time im at SL in case I meet any of you.

Retired cop here, story sounds ? like there is probably much more went unsaid. Getting relieved of money outside of Selina is on the sidewalk where it would appear out of place and noticeable. A block or two away, getting relieved of money and phone while intoxicated would not be surprising. They just looked like Sportsman's types. They look great until you get up close. Drunk enough and another robbery report on how these two girls robbed me at gunpoint. Never pays to be out on the street here or anywhere else too drunk to keep your guard up. I dealt with hundreds of robbery reports just like this in Atlanta. Great you have found Costa Rica and enjoying most of your interactions here. The country has much to offer. Have a great trip, take tons of photos and be safe.
